Palladium and white gold together

Hi I am wondering if any one can help. My engagement ring is palladium and I have been looking at wedding bands mainly just for a idea of prices and I have noticed how expensive palladium ones are and there isn’t much choice at all, so I was thinking I would get white gold as there is a lot more choice plus seem a lot cheaper but I am wondering what the metals look like together as I could be wrong but I feel like my palladium ring looks darker than white gold. I have tried to Google for images but can’t find any.

I believe you might also have trouble with how tough palladium is compared to white gold. It could damage the white gold.
