Paramol - side effects

Kebab thief, 12 February, 2009 at 08:33 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 9

Had a blackout yesterday and fell badly on my arm which has now been hurting for the last 24 hours. MrKT persuaded me to take 2 Paramol tablets this morning as I hardly slept last night because of the pain, I've not taken them before and now I feel a bit weird but I don't know if it's the pills or over-tiredness. I feel quite nauseas (sp?) and have a 'heavy head' with a kind of fuzzy feeling around the back of my head/neck area. I also feel a bit spaced out and I don't like it.

Has anyone ever had this? I went to look at the leaflet that comes with them but apparently MrKT has recycled it.

Is there anything I can do to get rid of it?

Sounds like it could be side effects https://www.netdoctor.co.uk/medicines/aches-pains/a8035/paramol-paracetamol-dihydrocodeine/

If it were me I would speak to a pharamcist or doctor just to make sure especially as you blacked out and hurt yourself, you might need the arm checking out if its still hurting

You had a blackout and you haven't been to the docs? Your nausea and fizzy feeling could be associated with that. Get an emergency appointment asap.

Sorry Baron, should have said that the blackouts are pretty much normal for me and have been investigated, thanks for your concern though, it's very much appreciated.

Thanks for the link Zoe, looks like it is probably the pills then, will stay away from them in future!

As I was saying before hitched rudely cut me off, I think you should probably get your arm checked out x

Thanks Zoe, I'm pretty sure it's just a bit jarred or I've sprained my wrist or something, MrKT bandaged it for me this morning before he left for work and I'm doing the RICE thing. I can move it so I'm pretty sure nothing is fractured but if it's still as bad tonight I might see about getting it checked out. Thank you for your concern my lovely ?

They are quite hardcore. They make me very drowsy. I don't take them if I have to go anywhere, only really when I can sleep.

    Hope you feel better!
