Petticoats - help please!

nixy3, 30 May, 2014 at 09:10 Posted on Planning 0 6

We bought our girls bridesmaids dresses yesterday, but they need an underskirt/petticoat underneath them to fluff them up a bit. Would prefer not to use hoops as they drive them mad enough in their princess dressing up clothes, but would like a few recommendations of suppliers please.

Depending on what colour you want you could try lindybop.

If you wanted a special colour then I would suggest going to a dance shop as they can get them in pretty much every colour and length.

Are the dresses knee length? And what colour are they?

It would help if I had a put a bit more info on!

    These are the dresses -

They are going to probably around ankle length by next year (we have bought them big), and they just need a little something to fluff them out a bit and give them a bit of swish (if that makes any sense!)

I should also add that I have a very skinny four (will be five year old) and a well built, taller than average nine year old, so trying to find anything that matches is a pita!

Ahh so flower girl rather than bridesmaid.

I got my petticoat for a 50s dress from a seller on eBay called petticoat_princess. Only £15 for an adult one. Might be worth looking to see if she does flower girl ones.

Brilliant, thank you, I'll have a look there. There's so many sellers out there, I prefer using a recommended one.
