They're lovely! I think the only thing to really consider is how many you need and how you'll attach them (not many have hooks, for example!)

    I'm having these:

I'm having 16, one on every other pew end. I've made them myself and got the bits and pieces separately (420 artificial daisy heads !!, oasis spheres cut in half and ribbon) and cost about £35 in total.

Will need to tweak the ribbons so they sit nicely on the pew ends though.

I really like your daisy-ish one! Maybe if I'd thought of that I'd not be threading hundreds of flowers!!!

That sounds like a good deal to me! I think pew ends make a really nice statement in the church (and hopefully won't need too many other decorations). What's your theme and which are you most likely to go for?

There are quite a variety of decorations you can use on pew ends - the bows which you've already found, pull bows which are the least expensive option or organza bows which are larger and a little bit more luxurious than the pull bows. You can also use wicker containers such as flat backed baskets or flat backed aluminium containers (i.e, half buckets) filled with flowers. If you go down the route of having full floral arrangements, these can work out a little bit expensive depending on your budget (price range £20 - £35) but a good proportion of the cost is for the attachment. Most florists use pew end clips which are a special gadget which allows floral arrangements to be attached to the pew without damaging it. You will need to double check the pew end to see for sure if it will take a decoration easily. Some curved pew ends are difficult because ribbon slides off. Overly ornate pew ends are also difficult because you can't get anything to lay flat. You're normally not allowed to glue, stick or deface the pew in any way although some pew ends do have hooks already in place but these are few and far between!

Decorating wise, it's best not to go too far out depth wise so it narrows the aisle down too much - bridal gowns take up a lot of space and you don't want to be knocking them off as you walk up the aisle! I always go for either alternate pews or just the front two rows where the principal guests sit, or one either side at the front, then in the middle of the aisle and one either side at the entrance of the church. Personally, I always feel one every pew looks too over the top but it's down to personal taste.

If you decide on bows, there is a HIB who specialises in bows on here called - I never thought of that - I'm sure she will be able to show some photos if you bounce for her.

Apologies for crashing in on this thread - I have been wondering the same thing too and love the pomander things... where did you get your flower heads from?

How funny to see an old thread! I've finished all the pomanders now (see above). They were complete ebay creations - the daisies, the polystyrene spheres and then I just used A LOT of glue gun glue!

The easiest & cheapest way of decorating pew ends is with florist pull bows, about £5.00 for 30 bows and they look like this:
