    Hi Rachie,

We get married at Cas mila in October.

Our guests are staying in a few different places.

Most of our friends are staying in playa den bossa (were there for a week or so before the wedding for the closing parties)

My family are staying in San Antonio bay and my oh's family are staying in Es canar.

We decided agaist staying in Cala Tarida as lovely as it is we wanted a bit more to do it the resort and as the wedding is only 1 day of a weeks holiday we chose the other locations.

Candi is going to arrange transport back to the various hotels after the reception finishes.

Let me know of you want any further info. xx

Also - does anyone know of a saxaphonist on the island?

We had a quote from Lovely Laura who plays for hed kandi but she was too expensive.

I've fallen in love with the idea of having one but i've not been able to find anyone else.

Any help would be great please

It's been a while since I've posted here but I've just got back from Ibiza - I have several pictures of Es Cubells church from various angles, the view from behind and front etc also the restaraunt Cala Tarida which I am pretty much 100% going with. The restaraunt was empty so I managed to get some pictures from all angles - when I get round to it I will upload them or if anyone wants to email me for them. I am getting married in June 2014 and I am struggling on deciding where to stay.

The insotel Tarida beach looks like the easiest option and the beach looks stunning however there will be a lot of people wanting to take advantage of the clubbing scene and I feel Cala Tarida is quite a distance from everything. I'm wondering whether to stay at my usual hotel The Fiesta Palm Beach which is at the far end of Playa Den Bossa and is suitable for families, older people and clubbers because it is closer to the nightlife but has good entertainment for the family.. and maybe stay in a closer hotel nearer to the church the night before to get ready and hire a coach for the guests or to stay in San Antonio Bay as there are some lovely little sunset bars such as Kumharas which are family friendly and again hire a coach for the day.

Has anyone had reception in Cas Mila but stayed alsewhere?

How did you find this? do you wish you had stayed closer?

ALSO what days can you get married in a church?

Hi Jojo, I got married at Cas Mila and didn't stay in Cala Tarida. We and most of our guests stayed in Cala Llonga. It wasn't a problem staying in a different resort. We arranged a coach to take everyone there and pick us all up again afterwards, it all went smoothly.

Mcdoo How much did the coach cost if you dont mind me asking? I would need it to take guests to the church then reception then back again. What time did you have to switch the music off?

rachie I will mail the pix to you now I've got pics with us in as well so you can imagine it a bit with people there! The only thing that bothered me about the church was that there is now a car park directly in front and when we arrived first there were vans and cars parked right in front.. I'm hoping they would stop people parking there if maybe I arrange for the guests to have pre-drinks at the resatraunt opposite! I have given the pics a slight boost in colour (not too much though!) because I felt my camera didn't do the views justice. The steps and everything are behind the church you can walk down them but I wouldn't advise it unless you're an olympic athlete because getting back up in hot weather = no make-up, sweating buckets and practically dying! I also took a quick snap of Sant Josep church as I drove past but I think Es Cubells is superior looks wise.

Es Cubells church from the front, right side and back also the views from the back (which are stunning!). As I said when we first arrived there were cars and vans parked around but i presume this wouldn't be allowed during a wedding (at least I hope!).

Cas Mila from various angles. When I first approached I was put off a little by the sunloungers and stalls that appeared to sell inflatables although once you have entered the restaraunt grounds you can only really see the nice parts of the beach unless you lean over the wall. I imagine that it looks fab during sunset too. It also looks a bit more modern than it does on their actual website Smiley smile

It lasted perfectly all day and night, and loads of people have commented how perfect it looked as they were leaving at 1am. The airbrush makeup is fabulous. The one thing I would say is, make sure you have some translucent powder just to blot away the shine, as you'll still sweat. You're makeup will stay the same but you'll end up shiny.

If you've any more questions then let me know.

I had Corina from smack Ibiza to do my makeup- they were fab and it stayed put all day as it was airbrush makeup. I can't remember the price but Jenny might be able to tell you as I'm sure she has booked smack too. I would thoroughly recommend them.

I've got Corina from Smack doing my make-up on Tuesday! My friend is my hairdresser, so she's doing my hair too. Smack make-up alone cost me €200 euro (including a trial). Then it's €50 per bridesmaid/mum/whoever. It seems a lot, but will be worth it I think. My usual make-up just wouldn't stand the heat!

    Mrs_imp,

You said you had 70 people at your PDB wedding. Do you think it can handle more than that?? I'm getting married there next June and my biggest fear is that more people than we intended will end up coming. I don't want it to be over crowded.

Did anyone have just normal makeup at thier wedding?? All this talk of airbrush makeup is getting me worried. My friend is a make-up artist and has offered to do my makeup for the wedding. It would be nice since it looks like it can save me 200 euros. It should be fine right?

Copa, don't worry about your friend doing your make-up. I wish I had a make up artist friend coming!! I'm getting my makeup done at Bellisima for 50 euros. Your friend will do an amazing job, especially since she already knows you!

    Hi Copa

I agree - don't worry about your make-up, I'm sure your friend will do a great job! perhaps you could go for a make-up lesson at Bobbie Brown, MAC or wherever and get your friend to go with you. If you tell them you are getting married abroad they should be able to recommend products that will last and look good in the sun.

    Hi there

I'm also getting married at PDB next may and I have 80 guests which Vickki told me is the max, we do have a few kids in addition to that but we are planning to seat them inside the villa with a childminder.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi db!

Nope - still haven't done it! I am so behind on all the wedding planning - work is really busy, I'm starting to panic slightly! Also, I still have people RSVPing which is VERY annoying....every time I think I've got final numbers someone else pops out of the woodwork! Driving me mad.

Have you seen the temperature over in Ibiza? I don't want to jinx anything but it's looking good for a warm October....fingers crossed, touch wood, all that stuff!

Haven't seen the weather. Amante are on my facebook though and I judge the background in their Cocktail of the Day pics to tell if it's looking sunny and nice or not lol!

God how annoying people are still RSVP'ing to you. I'm just waiting on 1 person to actually book a flight and commit. Im starting to feel slightly overwhelmed. I have our party after it here to still sort, my hen night in Ibiza that i'm organising, and also a meal in a tapas restaurant the night after the wedding for everyone! I never did loose that stone, but im over it now haha!

I feel like I have weird pre-holiday blues. Can't afford to spend a PENNY till it comes, so i feel like im sitting in weird limbo waiting for october! x

I've still got loads to do - mainly details but hmm, BIG details! like earrings, underwear, shirt for OH, cufflinks, gifts, decorations for the venue, sorting out itinerary for everything in Ibiza - trying not to think about it too much actually....

Who cares about losing weight - I'm sure you don't need to, and anyway, your dress won't look good if it's too big Smiley smile

I'm excited about October but also quite looking forward to it being over in some way....I'm bored of thinking about wedding stuff....does that sound bad?!

    Hi Deborah,

Is there any way you still haev your quote from your wedding and would you mind emailing me a copy? I live in australia and am just planning a wedding in Ibiza for May, we'd like to see how much a wedding planner would cost before we go any further but the ones I have contacted say they charge for a proposal. I"m guessing as your wedding is in October and ours is to be planned for May they'd be around the same time and price, season-wise. my emails *************@*****.**.**

    many many thanks

    Hola ladies!

First day back at work after an amazing wedding in Ibiza. Everything went perfectly, loads of guests said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to! They loved the surprise mini train transportation, and the fire show was spectacular. San Carlos church and Pura Vida were idyllic settings, and the food and service was impeccable. Can't fault it! The Smack Ibiza make-up artists did a fantastic job, me and my bridesmaids were so happy with our make-up, which lasted all night (despite the 35 degree heat!). And Sam Hocking's voice (she sang in the church) was just incredible. You guys have such fun times to look forward to!

    Jenny xx

Oh, and photos by the amazing Gypsy Westwood. Can't recommend her enough. They're stunning (even if I do say so myself ha ha) and she turned them around so quickly. She's a pleasure to have on the day and all the guests said she was great. We've got some incredible pics and memories of the day.
