Does anyone kmow if you can take dried petals to use as confetti to Ibiza? I've been watching too many of those customs tv programs and dont want then to get confiscated or have to pay a fine if they arent allowed to be brough in.

Hi Everyone!

Hoping taht some of you may be able to help with questions on DJs, Cakes, Photographers and venues!!

We are going over in October to look at venues and currently are tossing between El Cheringuito, Casa Mila and Elixr... has anyone married in any of these and got any photos.

I am open to any suggestions or comments on anything wedding related in Ibiza at the moment... just starting up plans so everythng seems a whirlwind!!.... Oh and to all be booked for June 1st next year!!

I leave for Ibiza 9th of october and the wedding is the 16th. Did/Is anyone else feel over emotional in the lead up to the wedding? I sit in work making my playlist for it close to tears some days lol!!

To be honest I'm not sure who did the flowers as Candi the planner organised them, I told her what I wanted and she put it in place.

Can anyone recommend a guitarist at all - we are thinking of having one for a couple of hours pre ceremony / ceremony and post ceremony.

Also, what sort of music did you have during the ceremony - did you make playlists/ipods?

When i say i've got a playlist, what I haven't even checked yet is if I can take my laptop instead of an ipod. And if its ok to use Spotify, which I've made all the playlists on! If I can't use the laptop i'll have to do the playlists on an ipod, which i dont even have!!

Have you sent your wedding form Rachel? When do you actually arrive in Ibiza? How long are you there for? Im there from a week before, and 11 nights.

I think spotify might be a problem to be honest. They can tell which country you're in by the IP address and you are only supposed to use it in one country (UK in your case?) so it won't be reliable and it may not work at all. I think with some of the premium packages (£10+ per month) you can use it abroad, but I'm really not sure and I definitely wouldn't trust it for a wedding anyway.

I'm pretty sure that connecting a laptop would be no problem though, as long as the headphone jack works. The only problem would be if the system uses an iPod dock for the input, which is unlikely, but still possible....

Yep I've sent off the wedding form, just waiting for Zeta to send me the final quote now. We're also there for a week, arriving Mon 8th Oct, leaving Mon 15th Oct. Not long now!! We're all going to stay in Santa Eulalia.

You can use Spotify if you've got the premium service and you save all your playlists as 'offline'. Then you aren't streaming anything from the internet. We've got CDs as a back up just in case something goes wrong....and we've also got itunes on the laptop too. I checked with Zeta, they have a mini jack connection so you can just plug the laptop in and away you go.

Exciting! Still got lots of details to organise.....(big details).

I have some things to do. Like buy underwear and get my dress altered! Thats next weekends task. Im sick of all this, i just want to go on holiday now lol!

Hi, your pics that you have posted look amazing!! I have booked for May 2013 and soooo exicted!! Can you give me any advice as I am just starting plans such as who did you book for you hair?? Also where did you stay as I really want to find a place to stay where I can fit myself and 5 bridesmaids in to get ready on the day!! I arrive in Ibiza on the Sat and get married on the Monday so only have a day to make sure everythin is in place!! Also we are debating whether to book a DJ or just do our own playlist?? Mine is at Elixir on 2nd June! We viewed a few places but as soon as we saw Elixir we knew straight away and Vickki is sooo nice and so good at what she does! October will soon be here and you'll see for yourself how lovely it is! When are you hoping to book for?

28th or 29th June! - We will actually be staying in Ibiza from May 27th - July 12th next year though!

4 weeks today we fly out for the weekend to look - I literally can not wait!

I think we will only be having about 50 guests though and are worried that Elixir may be too large for that??

We have invited 51 to our wedding and have no worries with Elixir being too big at all, I know I'm biased as it was my favourite venue so I don't want to go on and on about how nice it is!! It wasn't just the venue it was Vickki and reading the reviews on Eat Ibiza that made our mind up! Size wise there's no issue, it would be fine with a small wedding or a larger one to be honest! Elixir has a facebook page with quite a few pics on so it's gives you a good idea of the size and layout, and the steps down to the beach make it so lovely! Let us know what venue you choose! x

Elixir looks a possible and I'm thinking 50 guests. I was wondering what sort of costs your wedding is so I can see if it's even a possibility for me (don't have a big budget!)
