Would you be able to send me some pictures to if possible? Were also getting married at Cas Mila in June, Your wedding was absolutely beautiful and I would love to see some more pictures if possible :-)
I sent the photos through a couple of days ago so you should have them now. The only one that wont send is *************@********.*** I'm not sure if it is due to the size of the file or if the email address is wrong. Can you please check and let me know, I can then re send them for you.
I am getting married at Elixir in September 2013 and would like some advice please. Can anyone advise if they have used Elixir's DJ Steve and what he is like my email to him keeps bouncing back. Also any feedback on other DJ's would like funk, sould, hip hop and a bit of dance music with alot of our own suggestions. Also can anyone suggest a hairdrsser I have 9 bridesmaids and cannot afford E300 for one hours hairdressing skills thas more than my flights! As crazy as it may sound I was thinking more of E50! I would love to hear from brides that have married at Elixir to advise me also on what decorations are necessary to jaz up the room etc...
We are thinking about having our blessing at Cas Mila as the venue looks amazing from the pics and I have read so many good things about the place.
Were you able to watch the full sunset, or does it go out of view?
I would be very grateful if you could send me the stuff you have sent to others, to ****************@*******.***. The fact that my fiancé just sent me the link to this package means it's very likely to be at the top of our short list.
We found this on http://ibizaweddingshop.com/packages/panoramic-view/ but I see that some people have gone direct to the in house organiser? More info on this would be appreciated too
Thank you so much in advance.
This is my first ever post, so I hope you get this.

I got married at Cas Mila in July last year. I originally contacted the venue direct but they then put me in contact with Candida as she is there in house planner. So the price is the same whether you go straight to Cas Mila or via ibiza wedding shop. I think the only time you could be more is if you book in this country via Thomson or Firstchoice holidays, because obviously they are going to want some commission.
As for the sunset it depends on which month you get married, we had stunning lighting from the sunset but it did set just round the bay but that was July so the sun was higher.
Candida, her team and all the staff at Cas Mila are brilliant, they really know how to make every wedding special. I'll email you some pics which I've sent other brides to be.
I can recommend Beezwax, he was the DJ at our wedding at Cas Mila and was brilliant. You'll find him on here because he has posted in this thread a few times. I'm not sure many brides will have married at Elixir yet as it only opened late 2012. It used to be called Amarant but the owners sold to Vikki from Eat Ibiza.
Thank you so much for that Sarah. Your input is very much appreciated ?
I see you didn't use the DJ from the package and used Beezwax? I must say, he has been very helpful within these threads and I have heard good things about him. I see that Candida's son is used for the package. Does anyone know if he is any good?
Both me and my Fiance are very much involved within the music circle, so a good Dj is a must! I was going to call upon a few favors, but then I think it'll be less stressfull to just book a DJ and not have to worry about anything going wrong. The less stress the better. I think once we have decided and booked, we will get a few quotes and go from there.
Hopefully it will not be too difficult to book for June 2014. From all the good things I am hearing, it would not surprise me if it is! Fingers crossed.
From everything we have read, we are thinking of booking it to avoid dissapointment before we have seen it. We are due out there in June, but then that will only give it a year before the day we wish to have the ceremony, which is risky right?
Can anyone tell me what car is involved within the package?
I don't know if only you Sarah can read this as I am new to this, so hopefully you can answer these questions if that is the case.
I haven't heard any complaints about the DJ in with the package (and yes he is Candida's son), and I have read a lot of threads. We chose to go with Beezwax because after doing lots of research his name kept popping up as the best DJ to get for a wedding in Ibiza. There are additional costs to bear in mind if you are going to change the DJ. The first is that Beezwax does cost more money so you will have the difference to pay, the second is that you will have to pay to hire some equipment from Candida/her son for the actual ceremony (PA system for the ceremony music & a microphone).
I think there are quite a lot of brides who booked without having seen the venue before they did. We've been going to Ibiza for years and made several trips during 2010 to have a look at venues, eventually booking Cas Mila in October 2010 for a July 2012 wedding.
The thing to bare in mind is that you want to give everybody on your guest list enough notice, flights are usually released for the following summer in April/May and they are usually cheaper when they are first released.
It is a Mercedes wedding car which you get in the package, it was very nice.
Thanks for the good feedback Sarah - much appreciated!
I do usually supply the equipment for the ceremony music & microphone if requested - it all depends on the venue and the requirements of the bride and groom.
Also, bizarrely, some wedding planners consider a separate ceremony system with microphone to be an absolute must, and others consider it a total no no and a waste of money. I don't like to tread on peoples toes so I try and stay out of the discussion these days :-)
June 2014 was fully booked, as we expected, so we opted for the 24th May 2014.
I know we could have gone for July (more in season and hotter), but this date felt right and I would rather be cooler...... Now I am giddy! I will be asking lots of questions RE hair & Make up etc very soon!
Thanks for all the help so far. We are going over in June this year and Candi is going to show us around and go through everything.
Thank you McDoo We are interesting in the lighting and the flamenco show. It is pricey, but we think it'll be a perfect touch. Has anyone got any feedback on this? Our planning is coming along nicely Thanks to all again who have contributed with comments x x
Have popped on here before but hadn't properly started my planning, but seeing as it is NEXT YEAR (hopefully haha) I better start planning.
Is anyone else getting married in 2014? We have booked a holiday in Ibiza so we are going to take the opportunity to have a look around some potential venues, at the moment my favourites seem to be Amante and Elixir so if anyone had any information on these venues I would love to hear from them.
Hi, I'm hoping to book Cas Mila for May 2014 too. How did you get hold of Candi to book? I just got an auto response saying they are closed until 15th jan when I email. There is a number, but it says it's for emergencies only?
Hi girlies, this is my first post so here goes……. J
I am getting married in IBIZA on 06/09/13. I have booked the Church in San Augustine followed by Elixir for my reception. There are just a few things I cannot make a decision about and I am hoping that you may be able to help….
Has anybody used the resident DJ Steve at Elixir or heard anything about him? Alternately, can you recommend a good DJ?
Can anybody recommend Smack or Bellissima and are they reliable?
Has anybody used the Florist that Vickki at Eat Ibiza uses and would you recommend them? I am finding it difficult not being able to communicate with a florist directly myself. Can anybody recommend a florist that is reasonably priced, reliable and speaks English??
Congratu.ations! I am sure your wedding will be beauitful, Vicki has lots of experience so the florist should be good, but I do know excellent florists, who are Eniglish, try www.floraldreams.com also highly rdcommended is beeswax for a DJ. He writes on here.
I can recommend Smack for hair and makeup as I used their services last July for my wedding. They were brilliant, very reliable and really nice ladies. I had a trial with them in Ibiza prior to the wedding where we discussed the look i was hoping for (prior to the trial I had sent them some pictures of the different styles I was wanting to try) and they asked lots of questions. On the day they did my hair and makeup, 2 bridesmaids, my mum and motehr in law as well as my sister in law. They sent me a schedule a couple of day's before the wedding so I knew what time to expect them and the order in which they would be working on us.
I did also originally contact Bellissima to ask for prices but when they replied to my email they were very curt and basically just told me to look at their website. If they couldn't be bothered to engage with me at my originally enquiry I was concerned what their attitude would be like once booked and paid. Where as Smack were always friendly, professional and polite when responding to emails and just as lovely in person.
I'm getting married on June 13 and also at St. Agustin and also using Vickki as our caterer. I don't know anything about dj steve either, I haven't seen anyone post anything about him. We decided to go with someone else. I also have not decided between Smack and Bellisima. I need to make a decision soon. They are both so expensive!! I’m still not sure about flowers yet, but I did contact another place and got quotes. Send me an email if you want to chat about it..
I was lucky, I only had to pay for my own hair and makeup, everybody else paid for themselves but Smack did do a deal where if I had 5 other people having theirs done they would give a discount.
I had Beezwax as our DJ, he was brilliant - I would highly recommend him. We met him a few weeks before the wedding to go through music etc and we were really happy with our decision. He's on this thread so you will be able to find him.
As for flowers, to be honest I'm not sure where they came from because our wedding planner organised them. I just sent her a few pictures of what I wanted and she went and had it done for me.
Did Vickki arrange your wedding? I know she uses a florist but I would prefer to speak with the florist myself but the one she uses only speaks spanish.
Thank you for the recommendation. Where did you get married and how many guests did you have? September is going to come around soo fast! It is all very exciting!
I used Mireya at Aurea Flores - she is fantastic and I think her flowers are modern and really gorgeous - personally I found some of the other florists recommended on here a little old fashioned. I guess it all comes down to personal taste. Anyway Mireya is responsive and great to work with http://aurea-flores.blogspot.co.uk/
This is my first post on hitched and I hope some of you out there can help me.
I am currently in the early stages of planning our wedding in Ibiza
for May 2014. I am trying to find venues online and get prices, and
then to hopefully visit them in May this year to make a decision. Have you or
any of your friends been to a really lovely venue/restaurant/beach bar
in ibiza that you think would be suitable for a wedding? Let me know
if you have as any tips would be much appreciated! We really like Hotel Hacienda Ibiza for a wedding venue but we have not seen anything on the internet at all ... wedding pics, discussion forums......can anyone recommend this venue for 100 appriox people. Has antone been to a wedding there? What is the food and prices like? Any help would be fab
I used Candida from Ibiza wedding shop, she is the inhouse planner for Cas Mila which is where I got married. We had 61 guests in total (double the amount we thought we would have lol). September will soon be here!
Why have you chosen to get married in Ibiza? We chose it because we've been going for years and just love it there, we couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. Have you booked you photographer, if so, who have you gone for?
