    Me too Michk1234!

It seems to be about 22 and sunny cloudy - but i think that over the next 2 weeks the clouds will clear the temp will rise to about 25 and it will be nice and sunny! - I kind of dont want it to be too hot incase i pass out!! What kind of dress have you gone for?

When do you arrive in Ibiza? x

Hi guys, first post on here. My partner and I have finally decided we are going to get married in ibiza but not til 2015, probably about June time. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea for prices at elixir as this is one of my favourites but haven't heard back from them yet. I'm just so excited.

    Hi Droog88 Smiley smile

It depends on how many people you will be having at your wedding. When I contacted Elixir I was quoted 150euros per person for food/bar plus other costs like photographer/flowers/transport/dj etc

Hi laurenia, thanks for that, I think around 30 people maybe more. I know it's ages away but just felt that if I can try get organised early it will give people plenty of time to save and and book it off work etc. thanks for your help! Everyone's posts have really given me a good idea of how to go about things.

Firstly, congratulations on your marriages and I hope you have a great time.

I am developing a possible documentary series about British couples marrying abroad and I've noticed that Ibiza seems to be a fantastic destination. I would really like to talk to people with an in depth knowledge of the wedding world in Ibiza and I wonder whether anyone who is planning their own wedding would have a chat with me? Jess and Emma you both seem to have a great deal of know how about the island and it would be great to talk to you.

Also, I'd like to reach the wedding planner everyone seems to talk about - Candida. Does anyone have a business contact for her?

All the very best for your weddings! Sara

    Hi Sara

My fiance and I are getting married May 2014, in Cas Mila, Cala Tarida

We have been over last month to look at venues and fell in love with it and booked it the next day! Really exciting- we are looking to have 150 guests and about to send out our invites!

Just out of curiosity what company are you from? I can give you some more information, what do you need to know?

    Thanks

    Hi there,

Thank very much for your response.

I'm interested to find out whether there is a group of people on the island who help put everyone's weddings together. Did you find that ? Also, why are you marrying in Ibiza? What draws you to getting married abroad in general? Do you have a phone number I can call you on?

    Hi Sara,

Weddings are big business in Ibiza, there are many wedding planners on the island, some linked solely to one venue others not. There are people on this forum who live in Ibiza and always offer advise to couples getting married there. There's Beezwax, he is a DJ in Ibiza, one of the most popular DJ's to book for a wedding. There is also Eileen who has her company Ibiza cakes. They have both been in the industry for a few years so would be good people for you to talk to.

Those of you getting married at Cas Mila (or anyone who has already had their wedding there), are you all organising transport for your guests to and from the venue?

Bubbly- I am undecided what to do about transport. I am getting married at elixir abd they wish that I pay for the transport for our guests- this works out quite expensive as we have 80 guests and we are already over budget. But also people may wish to leave at different times ie people with babies etc. so I'm not really sure how to do it. I did think of perhaps giving people taxi/mini bus information so they can pre book themselves. Hmmm. Vicki and Leah the wedding planners wish that 80% of guests have their transport pre booked.

    any suggestions? Xx

    Hi All!

    i am now home from our Ibiza Wedding at Elixir, I've found this forum so helpful throughout the planning process so just to let you all know about the suppliers I used;

Elixir - AMAZING!!! Our dream venue run by complete professionals, planning with Vickki an Leah was so organised and smooth, no problems. We originally viewed Elixir May 2012 when it was being finished ready for opening and they've done loads to improve it in the last 12 months, all our 44 guests loved it too, especially the view! The food was stunning and every guest said it was the best wedding meal they'd had...we had the BBQ option and it was better than expected. The package including the free bar meant all our guests were very well looked after and that was our thank you for travelling to be at our wedding. The cake (made by Vickki) was gorgeous! I can't say enough good about Eat Ibiza/elixir and I know I'm biased but Elixir brides you will not be disappointed!

Smack Make Up - I had a trial with Sara 5 days before the wedding and she was so lovely, very professional and knows her stuff about make up and skin care, I went over budget on hair/make up but it was more than worth it. They treat your skin before applying any make up and the MAC airbrush foundation is incredible, it still looked good the next morning and I didn't have to worry about my make up once throughout the day. I'd highly recommend them for spray tans too, it's the best I've ever had and looked so natural with not a hint of orange!

Ibiza Ceremony - Anna Brooks did our blessing and again all our guests commented on how lovely it was, very personalised to us with lovely vows, she has a very calm nature and gets everyone in the room listening, worth the money and would recommend.

Flowers were sourced by Vickki and exactly what we asked for, so nice and I was gutted to leave them behind! They look gorgeous in the photos we've seen so far !

DJ - Steve Kershaw who is Vickki's preferred choice and great value, even though we had an ibiza wedding we actually hate house music! We sent him a very specific list of all kinds of different music and he delivered no probs and took requests on the night!

We supplied 2 minibuses to take guests home and that went down very well, again all our guests felt very looked after, the wedding day didn't cost them a penny and it saved a lot of hassle with taxis.

We rented a Villa that is a 3 minute walk from Elixir on the Delfin Playa complex. With the most stunning view and an infinity pool so had a few bbq's etc with our guests before the big day! Booked via Spotlight Ibiza called Can Bernadet. All our friends stayed at Hotel Puchet in San Antonio which was really good value but actually nice too! Then guest with kids stayed at Cala Tarida Insotel, a lovely family hotel.

We booked Ana lui studio just for a video, last minute decision and was pricey but now the day is over I'm so glad we did and we can't wait to receive it, their previous videos on Vimeo look so good.

Daffodil Waves photography -a UK based photographer we have used for both our sons and love her style but can't recommend her enough and is happy to travel!

Mamboats for my hen do - the second best day I've ever had and would highly recommend for hen/stag do's in Ibiza with a difference!

Anyway, I'm going on a bit now but sure this will help some of you! Although there's different venue's we've all made the same decision with Ibiza and at times you might wonder if going abroad is the right thing to do etc but from our experience it was perfect and the best decision we made was going abroad and having a holiday with all our favourite people!

good luck to you all, enjoy all the build up and excitement and of course your wedding day - it really does go so quick!

    Heather x

    Hi Heather

Congratulations Smiley smile - I am so excited now I have just read through your post. I didnt budget for make up but have booked in with SMACK so im very pleased about that and will let 2 of my bridesmaids know about the spray tan.

I would love to see a few of your pictures if you wouldnt mind sharing them. What type of dress did you go for I am stuck between 2 at the minute, one is a long sleeved lace fishtail but im just debating how hot I would be in the heat. Did you go for Elixirs timings or the 1hr earlier? x

    Hi ladies,

    Me again!

so I was just about to secured the date and pay the deposit at El Chiringuito as I fell in love with the venue however, a bombshell has just been dropped that Ibiza is changing the music laws and the DJ needs to turn off the music at 11pm and then go to background music. I am totally gutted. Has anyone had their wedding there lately and give a bit of feedback on how you went on turning the music off at 11pm?
