Hi can anyone recommend a florist in Ibiza. We are getting married in a Villa next year & it is covered in bougainvillea, so we have a beautiful backdrop. We are lucky we can keep everything really simply. My mum is doing the table decorations and we are looking for bougainvillea & another local flower, possibly white roses. As far as I can see there isn't a flower market on Ibiza, can anybody recommend a reasonable priced florist. I would also be looking for a bouquet to be made up by the florist.
We are over in Ibiza this week, on a research mission & a bit of partying ?.
I've just done another great wedding at Paissa Den Bernat with Eat Ibiza and Vickki told me that I am allowed to DJ at Elixir, so I can take bookings for 2014 :-)
She gives her clients a choice of 2 or 3 DJ's now, and the party starts at 9pm.....
Don't worry - that will be venue specific and it totally depends on the neighbours. There are lots of villas I work in for weddings where I play until 3am or later.....
Thanks you've put my mind rest - I had a slight panic, as we do like to have a dance ? We're only using ipod's as there is a brillant sound system in the villa with surround sound around the pool(we stayed there last year)....
I used Ana Lui last year as my tog. She is amazing, I would absolutely book her if you can afford her. I can't advise on the cost as I know that she's increased her prices since we booked. I think we may have paid her a deposit, but I think it was fairly small, say 100 euro? I can't really remember. If you email her I know that she'll reply to you fairly quickly.
Oh, I actually won the award for the best wedding photos of 2012, in the coveted hitched awards! So she must be good!
Hi all I'm going to Ibiza in 6 weeks time to have a look at casa mila with Candi and atzaro with katia! Really looking forward to it for the wedding to take place next year! Does anyone have any specific tips and hints, questions to ask whilst I'm out there?
Hi Rachel and all other ibiza brides to be, I've had a few private emails from Hitched B2B's asking about accomodation and suppliers I used etc, the one that keeps coming up is photography! We used a UK based photographer; Nicola at Daffodil Waves, I've mentioned before how good she is and how pleased we are with our photos. Ladies, just remember you are not limited to Ibiza based suppliers, flight & accomodation are so cheap and good photographers are willing to travel so it's not necessarily more expensive than an Ibiza Based Photographer! It's always worth getting a quote! Nicola is more than happy to travel, www.daffodilwaves.co.uk and I'm sure many more photographers and videographers are the same!
We also used Spotlight Ibiza for all our accomodation, A villa for us and 2 more Villas for both of our parents! They were all lovely!
So my wedding has been and gone :-( i feel so sad!! it was the most beautiful day, Casa Mila is a stunning location all my guests loved it! Candi was amazing and the tables and decor looked just beautiful. I really couldnt have wished for a more perfect day.
I am awaiting my professional pics, but if anyone has any questions then do feel free to ask. as i know it can be hard sorting a wedding from abroad. but really if Candi is your planner you need not worry
Awwww! I'm flying out to Ibiza in 4 weeks time to meet with kandi and view casa mila. I can't wsit!! Did u stay in a hotel or get a villa? Confused about what to do with my guests!
We have just booked our wedding in Ibiza its our fav place and we have been more times than we've had hot dinners between us! We have chosen to have it at Elixir on 19th September 2014. We have booked to go out for 9 days this September to have a look at wedding venues but the Elixir it so fully book we have had to take the plunge and go for it but it feels right and we cant wait to meet Vickki and see it properly!!! If you want to have it there I would recommend you get it booked ASAP, as we couldn't get the 1st two fridays in September!
We have also decided to go with Ana Lui for photos as they are so bright and quirky! We want to meet a few blessers when we go over in September, can anyone recommend any good ones? We want it to be emotional, happy, funny etc but we're not really clued about about how the blessing takes place and whats involved at this stage. Any help would be appreciated
Also DJ wise can anyone recommend any good DJ's that doesn't play standard cheesey wedding music? My Fiancé is a dj along with a few of our friends but we want everyone to enjoy the wedding and not be working. We have an eclectic taste in music and we are looking for someone who will play a wide range of stuff especially house music from past and present.
My wedding took place on June 13th! Can’t believe it’s over. Everything was wonderful and it was a truly magical day. We got married at villa Piassa den Bernat and we couldn’t be happier with the decision. It really exceeded my dreams and expectations and staying there was out of this world too. The weather ended up being perfect, and the sunset was spectacular and memorable.
I wanted to give special thanks and recommendations to a few people:
Beezwax was our DJ and was completely awesome The music was perfect and I got numerous compliments from the guests. He was always great to work with and was very flexible and helpful. He was able to add lights for as at the last minute, and also stayed on late for us with no problems at all. We ended up partying til 4 or 5 AM and everyone had a blast which was exactly what I had hoped for. I absolutely recommend him.
Ana Lui was our photographer, and we also had her team including Giacomo Gex doing video. I honestly cannot say enough nice things about them. Dealing with Ana was just incredible from the very start. She was very helpful and even helped us with some other recommendations for our wedding vendors. She is the sweetest and the coolest person and we absolutely love her. I really enjoyed having her around on the day and always felt completely comfortable with her. We’ve already seen a tiny bit of initial work and it looks amazing.
Eileen from Ibiza cakes made us the cupcakes and a cutting cake. It came out beautiful and every single cupcake was decorated to perfection. Her prices are very reasonable and her work was just amazing. We sat down a few months before the wedding and discussed ideas and she managed to create something that was exactly what I had envisioned and wanted.
I used el Ramo de Flores for my flowers and they did a spectacular job. They did the bouquets/buttonholes etc. as well as centrepieces and design. I was able to bring them some pieces vases and other décor ahead of time on one of my visits and it was greatly helpful because it cut down on what I had to lug with me for the actual wedding. They did a great job incorporation all the extra décor I gave them and set everything up beautifully at the villa. They also had lots of options for decor and were able to do and provide lots of other things such as balloons, baskets, and other décor. There prices were also very reasonable.
Our caterer was Eat-Ibiza. The food was seriously amazing. I think it was even better than it was on our tasting. The service by the staff on the day was also very good. I had many compliments on both aspects, especially the food! I’m also very thankful that we were allowed to provide our own bar since this gave us a bit of savings. We did however have some full unopened bottles of liquor go missing during the clean-up the next day, which was a pity because we were able to return those to the store and it would have save us more! I’m not sure what happened to them bit I am sure they were still there at the end of the night. I did have a struggle with the planning with eat-Ibiza because I found that prices of things changed a lot (without notice) and there were lots of unexpected cost so I had to do much much more in the planning phase than I had expected, to dave money. In the end the food was absolutely magnificent which was exactly what I had hope and the reason we went with them in the first place.
The ceremony was organized by Samantha Hocking at San Agustin church. The service she provides in invaluable. I could have never done it without her. I’m so happy and thankful that we were able to get married in that gorgeous church! Sam and Johnny also did our ceremony music and helped is plan some other aspects. Everything turned out great. The guests also thought the music was beautiful.
I know I’m forgetting someone or something. If anyone has any questions don’t be afraid to contact me. And definitely consider Piassa den Bernat. It was a dream come true!!' I'll try to post a few pics when I get them.
Congratulations!!! I saw a short video 'taster' from Analui studios your wedding looked amazing. Thank you so much for the kind words. It's lovely to hear that I get it 'right'.
Thanks for the recommendation DaffodilWaves we ahve arranged to meet Anna Brooks and Jon Mitchell when we go over in September.
Can anyone recommend a good saxophonist or jazz duo/trio? We would like to have funky jazz for our drinks reception. I have email Lovely Laura but not sure if she does small gigs like weddings and im struggling to find any others?
Copa - Sounds like your wedding was perfect!!!! I'm so glad we have booked Ana Lui, and its good to hear that Eat Ibiza food was brilliant too
What have you girls done or have planned for honeymoons? We were thinking of staying at the Hacienda for a week afterwards but its soooo expensive
I DJ at a lot of weddings in Ibiza but I also DJ regularly for We Love.. Sundays and Carl Cox at Space so I'm not really a typical wedding DJ. I'm also a turntablist, so I'm used to mixing tracks that aren't really supposed to go together, and playing funk, soul, hiphop, disco, rock, breakbeat and all sorts of other stuff alongside the house and techno so I'm not really a typical Ibiza DJ either!
My fiance and I are heading to Ibiza the first week in September to try and find a venue. This is one of my favourites, but despite numerous emails I still haven't heard back from them! Do you think if we just turned up someone would talk to us?
We had the same problem contacting La Hacienda. We went last October & in the end just turned up & luckily there was somebody to show us around etc. However, we left our email addresses so she could send us all the pricing details we had discussed as she had no brochure/leaflet to give us, but the email never arrived!
Sneak peak of 1 of my the photos a guest took of us on our wedding day at El Chiringuito - the most perfect wedding venue in Ibiza i think! - Hopefully not long now until the professional ones are ready!!
Just wondering has anyone managed to find a good singer? We want someone that has a guitar, kind of a busker I suppose, that will sing alternative rock (Oasis, Green Day, Killers etc).
I saw someone was looking for one of these on this thread but now I can't find you.
