We have just decided on Ibiza as the destination for our wedding next year but are pretty clueless as far as anything else goes. We have shortlisted a couple of venues - we like Can Talais, Can Gall and are also considering hiring a private villa. We really liked the idea of a beach wedding or one near the sea but were put off by the thought of having an audience from sun bathers on the beach - does anyone know of any private beaches?
We want our day to be special but are also conscious that we don't want to go mad spending money and would also like to steer away from the idea of a wedding package we would like it to be as personal as possible.
i think i'm right in saying that there's no such thing as a private beach; the whole of the ibiza coastline is in the public domain, like a right of way. some beaches only have one venue on them and they can try to discourage people from using the beach during a wedding, but plenty of people are well aware of their rights and will refuse to move on.
a private villa is definitely a good idea - i love it that they are all so different and personal. hope you find somewhere nice :-)
I spent about 4 moths trying to contact the wedding planner called Sabine and when I say try I mean every week emailing through the booking line website I even emailed their recruitment email Sabines direct email general email everything I could but received nothing back this is where I wanted to get married, after about 3-4 moths Sabine replies to say she had received my emails but was concentrating on current weddings. It was not apologetic and I made the decision to eliminate it from my choice when I travelled to ibiza to view my short list I wouldn't be able to cope with the lack of contact! X x
Have you had a look at El Chiringuito at Cala Gracioneta? You have to walk through the restaurant to get onto the beach. My friends got married there a few years go and the people that ran the restaurant (not sure if it is the same people) cleared the people that were on the beach.
Hi I had my wedding at the hacienda in July and it was amazing I'm catholic so got married in a church first and then did the speeches on the ampitheatre everyone was amazed. Communication st first before booking officially was slow but once booking was confirmed the communication was good I think they like to know your serious as they probably get lots of interest. On the day of your wedding the room looks so much better and we had Beezwax as a dj which he was great and sorted us some lights which I would reccomend.
Thanks for your reply, beeZwaxIbiza and ElixirBride - sorry I'm not sure how to quote haha!
I've finally had a reply, and I was surprised at how reasonable the quote was, I was expecting much more! Hopefully we will love it just as much in person and can set our date eek. I do want to see Amante and Elixir too, but Hacienda is my favourite from piccies.
4 weeks today we will be there My fiance is there at the moment working so I am insanely jealous ?
Can anyone recommend any private villas large enough to host a wedding of 70 people? We are trying to keep the cost down and think a private villa may be the best idea?
Also has anyone visited Can Gall or Can Talaias these are also high up on our choice of venue.
Thanks for sharing! Sounds like you had a perfect day. I just had a look at the website & the villa looks great. Did you actually have your wedding ceremony there too? Where abouts did that take place? I think we will have a party of about 70 will there be enough room?
I got married at PDB in May and we had 73 guests, 63 adults and 10 kids.. the children sat separately from us but we had 7 tables of 9 people each and it worked very well there.
I'm brand new to the forum and have just returned from the island where I viewed many venues. Yet I'm no closer to making a decision!
I didn't see Hacienda but have heard great things. Does anyone have a wedding brochure or price list they can send me? I haven't heard back from all the emails I've sent requesting that info.
yes I am getting married at Cas Mila in June 2014 and have been dealing with Candi for months, she is lovely and extremely helpful.
we went over to see Cas Mila in July (we had already booked the wedding) and were blown away by the venue and Candi was lovely, she showed us around and answered our questions. I am now getting into planning mode and its all getting very exciting!!
I got married at Cas Mila last year in July. Candi and her team are fantastic, I highly recommend booking your wedding with her.
If you message me your email I can send you some pics if you'd like.
I was in Ibiza last week and went back to Cas Mila to reminisce, to arrive and see Candi and Anne waiting for a bride to arrive and a wedding to get underway. It was so lovely to witness the bride arrive and think back to our wedding. So if anyone on here was the bride at Cas Mila on the 1st August, you looked beautiful!
I am getting married on 31st May 2014!! I went to Ibiza to see it and loved it straight away, food was also lovely there!
I am pretty much stalking Cas mila and Ibiza Wedding shop on Facebook! But it would be great if anyone could send me some pictures! And also tell me who their photographer was!

Also, I cant remember what Candi said about dj options- can anyone else shed some light? I can imagine shes busy until the summer is over so didnt want to contact!
Thats great! No problem! We're getting married at Elixir just before you - 14th Sept 2014! Have you decided much about your decor yet? I'm so indecisive!!
how exciting! I'm going to Ibiza on Sunday to have a look at casa mila and to meet with candi! I can't wait, I'm a little apprehensive about what to expect but really excited! Will fill you in ( for those of you who yet still have to visit) when I get back!!
