Ibiza photography is the same photographer that Candi uses (Anne), SO if you've booked for Cas Mila or any venue through Ibiza wedding shop it will be Anne that is included in the package.
Hi Kate! I'm booked for casa mila next year too! I jus got back last week from meeting with candi and she is lovely!! I think she is really busy with weddings ATM but answered everything we needed to know and was amazing to go there! I'm starting to do the planning now! I've tried on a few dresses and thinking about bridesmaids! Would be great to have casa mila bride support too! Drop me an email and Amy other Ibiza brides that want to get in touch!!
So I've just come back from Ibiza and met Candi at cas Mila. Very impressed with her; her attention to detail is amazing and she's super organised. We watched a ceremony take place from afar and now I'm so so so excited.
I thought I had my dress sorted but now having seen how hot it is, I ll never be able to wear it anyone got any flashes of their dresses they'd be happy to share?
pi have just returned back from ibiza and I thought I would share my tips with you.
i met with Gary and holly from floral dreams ibiza. They are lovely coup,e from the UK. Their prices have no hidden fees, like set up and transportation of the flowers. I wouldreally recommend them as their flowers are beautiful.
I have decided to go ahead with Pura Vida for my wedding. Alexandria will let me do what ever I like. She is so flexible. I can mix and match menus and drinks packages. The venue it's self is stunning. The own the beach in front, so you get that secluded feeing and no one sticking their nose in. What else is great is they have a bakery onsite so instead of desert we will have a wedding cake which will save €200. As we are having our wedding on a Tuesday in June because we have decided to do stag and hen dos on the weekend, there is no venue fee! This is saving us about €2000. Defiantly worth a vist.
i cannot believe wist hair and make up charges are so I headed into ibiza town to the Mac store. They do the same offer as in the UK. You pay €35 and she will apply your make up and then you can have €35 worth of products. Such a huge saving! By the time to buy your lipstick and a few other bits for the day, that is your makeup done foe free.
I would strongly recommend you go out and search around as I pick up allot of contacts that where not on the Internet. I have even found an English girl that does bridal hair for €70 and bridesmaids for €35.
Jenkman - that is soooo helpful!! The costs are just spiralling as we're trying to sort everything from the UK using the internet and advice from Vickki at Elixir. We went out to Ibiza in May to find our venue so are all booked for next September, but didn't have time to go and source flowers, make up and hair etc. Luckily I have a friend who can do my make up but hair is still up in the air!
Tips like yours are so useful so thank you so much - I had seen the florist you mentioned on the internet but to have someone who's actually been there to speak with the couple who run it is very helpful.
Keep the tips coming ladies...and once I've actually sorted anything, I'll help out too!! I'm just doing my invites now and finishing a wedding website where I can update all my guests with accommodation and flight details.
Just sent out my invites giving an RSVP date of Dec 2013 for May 2014 wedding at Elixir - how long have the rest of you given guests to RSVP? One of the reasons I said Dec was because Ryanair dont release summer 2014 flights out until end Oct 2013 x
No problem Dani! Us ibiza brides need to stick together :-)
if you 'like' floral dreams ibiza Facebook page you will some of the weddings they have done. It was actually Kelly who gave me the name of an English girl on the island who does bridal hair and her costs are very reasonable. Without Kelly I would never have known she exists as she does not come up on Internet searches. She comes highly recommended so for the price I will go with her.
If anyone else come up with some good bargains let me know as every penny helps when paying for a wedding
I think the English hairdresser you must mean is kellie. She has a facebook page with some pics (Stylistic Hair Ibiza). I had a trial done by her for my wedding in October last year. I ended up going to Bellissima instead but Kellie was really nice and comes wherever you want since she's a mobile hairdresser. She also works with a make up artist that is quite reasonable aswell.
Yes, that is her name. Can I ask why you went for Bellisima in the end? I won't be able to have a hair trial until I am there but will need to book a hairstylist in advance so any feedback is ggrateful.
Hello we have now been to ibiza to have a look around and have decided on one of the two.. Casa mila or pure vida, we cannot decide! I am just wondering if anyone can let me know about deposits for these two places? As we would like to get it booked before Christmas, I've emailed both venues but obviously it's a very buisy time for all the venues. So haven't really had a reply. We want to start our budget plan it's not until may 2015 but we want to get our date booked, so we can start letting friends and family know the exact dates they need to book off work etc. any advice on these two venues would be fab thankyou very much xxxxxx
Haven't posted for a while - my last post was when I had just made the decision to cancel uk wedding and ship off to Ibiza!!
Time has flown by, but Ibiza spotlight have been a great help in pulling it all together.
We fly 2 weeks today!! In hotel first week then into our villa for ten days (booked through ibiza spotlight) before a final week at the end - after our wedding.
our wedding is at the villa and we have cardamon events doing our catering bar etc.
ive booked bellisima to come to our villa on the day for hair and nails.
We have Diana from white horse spirit doing our ceremony, and a contact through Ibiza spotlight doing out photos.
think that's it- organised the whole thing in 2 months!!!!!can't wait xx
Forgot to reply about the hair! I got kellie the mobile hairdresser to put my hair up in the kind of style I wanted my bridesmaids to have, to see if I liked the way she done it. It was fine, but a bit too wedding hairish for me! I didn't have a trial with Bellissima but I really loved my hair and makeup on me and my bridesmaids.
Hi All. I'm another Ibiza bride. Still in extremely early stages of planning and have provisionally booked Elixir which is very exciting!!! I have been reading lots of your posts and I see that Beezwax (?) is highly recommended. Is there any way I can get in contact with him at all? Thank you very much! xx
I'm sure B will be along soon, but his email address is, *****@*******.**.**. I've also got a mobi number for him, not sure if its still right, **** 833
Hi really hope someone out there can help! We really love Elixir & its looking llke we will have to book the venue without seeing it in person. Anyone who has seen the venue do you think it will be too big for 45 people?
Also anyone who has had their wedding at Elixir, how was the venue set up in the evening? Im worried there is no where for people to sit inside once the doors have to be closed at 12pm (the inside looks small?) Also how quiet did the music have to be after this time? Is it worth paying a DJ after 12?
Elixir is stunning - you will not be disappointed. We have booked for next September after seeing it (and 7 other venues!) back in May. The setting is gorgeous, on a hillside with steps leading down to the beach and because it's so beautiful, won't need so much decoration. At the moment, our guestlist is closer to 80 (wish it was a bit less as the cost per head is v pricey) but have seen photos of weddings with smaller guestlists and looks absolutely fine.
As for a DJ, at the moment, we're going against this idea due to the timing of the wedding and the cost of the Elixir sound system (400e) plus a DJ (at least 450e). By the time the food and speeches are over, it'll be 9pm, then there's only 3 hours for the DJ to play. After this, the DJ isn't allowed to play and you have to switch to an iPod anyway.
Hi! We have also booked Elixir for September 2014. (What date are you D?)
We are looking at approx guests 50-60 I think (hard to say until guests have actually booked flights & comitted!) but I would b happy if we got 45 as have seen photos of weddings of this size party that look absolutely fine.
There are seats at the bar inside Elixir, but I am sure thay would be able to facilitate your request of more chairs inside later on.
Ooo exciting!! We are Sept 6th...the countdown has begun!! When's yours ElixirBride?
I'm sorting invites at the moment (hoping to send them out at the end of the month) and also doing a wedding website to give guests flight and accommodation info - have you sorted your accommodation yet?? Think we're going to stay near Santa Eularia as it's great for families but still close to the nightlife by taxi.
Im getting married at Elixir 2nd June .....still sorting invites ? also looking to stay in Santa Eulalia however struggling to decide where to stay (hotel).... Have you been before or have ideas in hotels etc?
Hi, I got married at Elixir on 2nd June this year, we had 45 guests and the venue didn't feel too big at all. The 3 different spaces work really well. I wouldn't usually recommend booking somewhere without viewing it but I know how in demand and booked up Elixir is, but honestly its stunning and pictures don't do it justice if anything!
The midnight music rule wasn't in place then but there's plenty of bar stools in there, people tend to stand at the bar too, so I wouldn't worry about that. Your in very good hands, the food, view, setting and service blew all our guests away! Vickki and Leah make the planning process so simple yet you make the decisions. If you have any other questions let me know, our wedding video is here if that helps - http://vimeo.com/71434278
Lovely video Heather what time did you have your ceremony and did you have a DJ? I'm
Just figuring out timings, decor and DJ - if you have any tips please do let me know. I'm going for tasting end of Oct and not heard a bad thing about the food - were your party happy with the food and drink....did you put any extra money behind the bar for after the final 3 hours? Thanks in advance xx
My wedding is booked for next August at Elixir and i have to say i nearly booked the venue without even seeing it in person as i fell in love with it just from pictures so if you are looking to book i'd say go for it as it's beautiful! I visited in the end in June and it didn't disappoint... i put down my deposit there and then that afternoon, the decor and the view are to die for and Vickki is lovely... i have every faith that our wedding will be the perfect day we want it to be.
Only question i do have is around places to stay... we're going to hire a villa for a week but can anyone give any good suggestions for family friendly resorts?
If you don’t want to worry about the party ending early you could look into having the wedding at a villa. Mine was at a villa and our DJ ended up playing until 4-4:30 am. It was magical. I was so happy that we didn’t have to end at some ridiculous time because if you think about it, you are paying SOO much money for just one day, who wants to end at midnight??? After all, the whole reason I initially started going to Ibiza was for the music and the partying.
Plus the place was absolutely amazing, and we got to stay there for a week with 8 of our close friends. That alone was like a dream come true.
I visited it. It is very stunning. In fact I really fell in love with it but we didn't end up having the wedding there because the hubby and I loved one other place more. You may have to call the hotel.. I think many of these places are more responsive to phone calls then emails. They should be around, it’s still tourist season.
Hi, I'd recommend trying Vickki at Eat Ibiza/elixir, she caters at various venues on the island including Can Taliais. It was the first venue we viewed and we loved it but didn't go for it because their terms included filling all rooms (9 I think) for a minimum of 4 nights then a ceremony fee for the wedding plus the Eat Ibiza costs and we really didn't want to dictate to our guests where they had to stay! But could work really well for other couples etc, contact Vickki at Eat and I'd imagine she could send details over.
