Hi Katie, we hired a villa within walking distance from Elixir! Booked via Spotlight Ibiza and its called Can Bernadet, it was perfect with an amazing view (same as elixir) our 2 children loved it and we hired a car so could pop round the island easily visiting all our guests etc, it was so lovely on the wedding night, at 2am we said goodbye to all our guests and simply walked back to our villa!!!
Other guests stopped at the Puchet hotel in San Antonio which was great for young couples etc then our guests with families stayed at the Insotel Cala Tarida which was ideal. Another really good family resort is Santa Eulalia even though its on the other side of the island it's got so much for families.
Thanks, our ceremony was 4.30pm, we had the dj from 9pm - 2am, our guests were so impressed by the food and we hadn't told anyone about the free bar so they were all really shocked that they didn't have to pay for drinks until midnight! We didn't put any extra behind the bar for then, all day was enough!! The food is really really good, my parents are still talking about it 3 months on!

Thank you so much for the information, i'll check those out.
Also, out of interest did you do the legal bit, i.e. the paperwork etc before you went out for the wedding or afterwards? I think we're going to do it before but just wondering what others have done?
Stumbled across this fab forum whilst looking for inspiration for my Ibiza wedding and thought I should introduce myself! I’m another Elixir Shore Club bride-to-be! Booked to tie the knot on 15th August 2014
I found Elixir Shore Club online just by chance & it was love at first sight! I contacted Vicki immediately & reserved our date (no deposit required unless you choose to marry on a Saturday – understandably her busiest day and of course unless another bride requests the same date). Unfortunately just over a week before I was due to fly out to view the venue this summer another bride requested our chosen date. So we had to cough up our deposit. A week later we flew out and met Vickki at Elixir…WOW. To any of you who are in a similar situation – do not worry & go with your gut. Elixir is stunning - I almost cried when I saw it. Such a beautiful location and literally nothing you can fault at all. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. Vickki is fabulous too – a lovely lady who is obviously very passionate about what she does.
I know Heather (ibizawedding2013) who married there this year will be aware of this (we’ve almost become stalking buddies!) but thought I would share with the rest of you… I am a big fan of Instagram, which is an app for Iphones/Andrioids. There are many many photographs on there of Elixir Shore Club .. a few I took when I visited & lots of other photographs from previous Elixir brides. If you search for “#ElixirShoreClub”, “#ElixirBride”, “#ElixirIbiza”, “#IbizaWedding” … (you get the picture) you will find all sorts! I’ve found it to be a really good resource for finding inspiration/contacting previous brides/having a sneaky peak at the venue! My user name is XXHELENXX if you want to come find me
I never even thought to look it up on Instagram! Thanks for the tip! I've followed you as well - hope you don't mind? Just had a look at the elixir pics and I've come over all excited again. I'd forgotten how stunning it is there!
I'm also getting married at the Elixir but in June 2014. Can't believe how fast this year is going already and I've hardly done a thing! Need to get organised.
Where r u staying? We plan to all be in Santa Eulalia but finding it really hard to decide on hotel/villa....want my party to be close together but I also want to stay somewhere nice with a few friends.
Sorry for my late reply … I’ve had a busy weekend at a family wedding – stealing lots of ideas!
Wow there are so many Elixir Brides! Alex – I’ll try not to leave too much mess on the 15th for you then
No plans to go over for the tastings, my fiancé is a teacher so the dates don’t really work for us unfortunately. I have 100% confidence in Eat Ibiza’s food though – I’ve heard nothing but positive reviews; the food seems to be the talking point of most weddings at Elixir!
I don’t mind the followers on Instagram – more the merrier!! J Will be lovely to see everyone’s photographs of their special days.
Gem, we’ve booked to stay at the Grand Palladium in Playa D’en Bossa – we visited this summer & managed to squeeze in a tour of the hotel & grounds – it was stunning. We wanted all inclusive, a bit of luxury & wanted to be on the beach so it ticked all our boxes! Right at the far end of the beach so it has a nice chilled atmoshphere. We looked into booking a villa but the ones I fell in love with where far too expensive L Hope you find something you like J
Hello everyone , we are hoping to hey married at cas Mila in may 2015, so they say your wedding usually starts at around 4pm so say after the ceremony and canapés/champagne etc, I would like to take my guests to the sunset,to watch the beautiful sunset. Does anybody know of boat companies that do this sort of thing? Also I'm a little worried though by the time scale, would all my guests be absolutely starving :/ please could you help me if anyone has thought about this? Or maybe this could be a good idea for the evening before the wedding x
I've been watching this forum for the last week or so and have read through over 50 pages of posts now, eeek! Anyway, decided it was time to sign-up and sign-in. MY boyfriend proposed whilst we were on holiday a couple of weeks ago (!) and we've always agreed that we will get married abroad.
Originally, it was either to be France. Italy or Greece, but when I started looking into Ibiza, it seemed to be a perfect fit for our 'laid back luxe' style wedding.
We are shortly going to book a trip over in May next year to scout out the venue and then nearby accommodation and I'd love it if people could list all venues that they have conisdered. My fave's are Amanta and Elixir, but as we have approx 56 gusts, they will just work out at too much money so we need to look at other options too.
Ideally, we'd stay at one venue for the day and we want to have a beach BBQ & party in the evening - good food is a must!
If anyone can help me with pulling together a list of venues that are maybe lesser known as I've checked out the main ones, then it would be really helpful
What we did was we reserved an area at Cafe Mambo for the evening before the wedding so we could all enjoy sunset drinks. Amazing!! Then the day after the wedding we chartered a catamaran which was also amazing and very chilled so we could all relax and chat.
Hi, It wasn't a Mambo boat but we booked it through Lucy at Cafe Mambo - she was our wedding planner. It was a really great day. It had an onboard bar, DJ deck and sound system. Highly recommend!
Wow, it sounds amazing, I'd definitely be interested in booking something like that! Do you have a contact or anything for it? My email address is ***********@*******.**.**.
Just got married at Amante on the 10th. Bride and I had a great time. Thought I would leave some feedback as so many have helped on here.
Firstly the time to get married, maybe we were lucky October seemed like the best time to have one bearing in mind the heat. Looking historically at the weather October tends to be pretty dry. Also quite importantly its cheaper than in peak season for obvious reasons.
Amante - Excellent to deal with, Professional Service. Zeta has brilliant to deal with and made the day run smoothly. Food was excellent and of course everyone enjoyed the free bar! We think doing it at a venue is far better than doing villa which we also considered. I think the view is to die for...simply stunning.
Eileen @ Ibiza Cakes, on time, reasonable, and an excellent cake - thanks.
Paul (Celebrant and Eileens's husband) Excellent service, mentioned the island and really re-assured us and took time with us before the wedding.
Ramon de Flores - Expensive, but all flowers are on Ibiza, Would recommend.
Hotel Argos in Talamanca - Lovely hotel, went that extra mile for us and the wedding party.
All in all a great week and of course a special day for us both. If anyone has any other questions I would be happy to help.
Ben and Clare - that is perfect, thanks so much for sharing the details with us and the hotel you stayed in looks really lovely.
Does anyone else have accommodation recommendations? I'm getting married at Elixir next Sept but don't necessarily want to stay near the venue. I wanted to stay in a villa but we don't have enough people who want to stay in Ibiza as long as me and my hubby-to-be for the cost to work out, so are looking at apartment complexes with a pool where guests can book for as long (or short) as they like.
Has anyone heard of a place like this? We're looking to keep costs down, but still find somewhere that has a range of options as guests will be on different budgets!
Any help on where you stayed and where your guests stayed would be great. My invites are being printed now (accommodation ideas will be on our website)...too excited!! xxx
As I said in my last post, we are getting married at Elixir on Aug 3rd 2014.
We have booked Can Gal for 4 nights inc the wedding night and we are having all the wedding guests back there the day after the wedding for a pool party and bbq. It's a small hotel so between ourselves and other family members, we have hired the whole hotel (11 rooms). Also all our other wedding guests can come and spend time there either side of the wedding. A friend of mine did this for her wedding this year and it worked really well. You get the best of both worlds as Can Gal is stunning but it doesn't have the sea view like Elixir so we can get married there and then have another day of celebrating with all our guests in the beautiful grounds of Can Gal.
I am another Elixir Bride - booked for September 2014.
Has anyone had a large wedding there, around 100 people? worried the two toilets are not going to be enough.
We are also considering opting to start the wedding earlier so we can make more of the music before the curfew but worried about it being too hot/early to eat.
Yet another Elixir bride here, we get married on 19th Sept literally cant wait!!!! It's obviously a very popular choice! We went ove in Sept to have a look at the venue and we were nervous as we have already paid the deposit but we had nothing to worry about its gorgeous and the perfect place
We were thinking the same ibizaseptbride, we wanted to party longer but you cant at Elixir if you start early you have to finish early as you only get at a set amount of hours at the venue so we have decided to go with the later timings to avoid the heat.
We have been doing loads of planning and booked a lot of things already, met some great people and contacts:
Ana Lui Photography - We have had this booked for ages now as soon as i saw Ana's photos i knew we had to have her, we met Ana back in Sept and she is lovely! I know she is going to do a great job! Photos are the one thing we decided we were going top spend money on.
Floral Dreams - Gary & Holly are an English couple that we met whilst in Ibiza, they have loads of great ideas and their flowers are so fresh and gorgeous.
Smack Ibiza - Make up
Ducks Ibiza - We have booked a quirky Citroen CV2 wedding car
Wedding Window - We have created a wedding website rather than sending out invites as theres just too much info to tell people, its taking me ages to get all the info on but its looking great! It's only £60 and we get our own domain name included in that so we have saved loads on money too. We are just sending out some save the date cards out with the website details on, we took a photo when we were in Ibiza of the wedding details written in the sand and us on the shore in front looking into the sea and we have turned them into postcards, simple but effective!
I've booked Smack for my wedding at Elixir next August and they were quite slow to reply but once they did they were very good with getting the information and booking contracts to me. I'd say try ringing them and Sara is actually very helpful.
I hope they get back to you, i did try a few other companies but none were as competitively priced as Smack, plus have seen quite a few brides have used them before so felt they are quite trusted.
Great to see another Elixir Bride, ours is 28th August. With the florist did you decide to organise those yourself because they are cheaper? just im wondering whether to source myself rather than go through the ones they use automatically?
Will also take a look at Ducks Ibiza as been looking for something a bit different, so thanks for that
We've done the exact same thing with the wedding website rather than invites, felt it was a good way to get all of the extra information required for the guests seeing as its a destination wedding. We did ours through gettingmarried.co.uk, which is actually free and you also get a domain name.
Can i ask where you guys are looking to stay whilst your there for the island? we're looking at villas but just not sure where.
We contacted the hotel direct, Santi the manager is very helpful. He has said that our other guests are more than welcome to spend time at Can Gal during our time there x
Very Excited Elixir bride here getting married June 20th (8 months yesterday! ?)
Just thought Id post my planning progress and see if anyone can give me some advice on a few bits and bobs...
We have gone with Eva from Ana Lui for photography, we loved Eva when we met her and her work is so fun and stiff posing which is exactly what we were looking for.
Im having my makeup/hair and the bridesmaids hair done by Sara at Smack, really looking forward to seeing them work their magic, she has been great to deal with!
We have booked a Villa situated between Port des Torrent and San Agustin with a company called Global Escapades, Deni and Alice has been so helpful.
We are planning a 3 day get-together with a pre wedding drinks reception, the wedding day followed by a bbq and pool party at our villa.
Just wondering if anyone knew anywhere around the west there is where we can hold the pre wedding get together? Im looking for a venue which can hold 70 people and can offer a cornered off/private area. Ive been in touch with Villa Mercedes and KM5 which are lovely but if anyone has anyothers they can recommend I would love to know?
Also with regards to Elixir, can any of the past/future brides let me know how they worked the transport at the end of the night??
Hello Ibiza Brides, another one here, very excited to be getting married at Cas Mila on August 25th 2014!
I wondered if people could possiby let me know where they have recommended for their guests to stay in Ibiza? I'm looking at all budgets as my guests budgets do vary.
Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
we got married here this year and booked the DJ democracy for out reception at Amante restaurant. It was just so amazing and a refreshing take on a regular DJ in Ibiza. Basically They set up a little micro website and our guests apply to DJ 3 records. It was hilarious and so much fun, The dance floor was packed the whole night as it was songs that we all knew and actually wanted to hear because they were chosen by our guests who obviously knew us really well.. My mum and Dad played as a team and so did Pauls nan and grandad. All Genres were covered, everyone was included and cheering each other on. My friends said it was the best wedding they had ever been too. Lou played a wicked warm up set, ( she plays all around the island...then called our guests to come up and play their records. She had all their records ready so they just had to turn up and basically press play but she showed them what to do and was there as tech support the whole time, but we got all the glory. Our party absolutely rocked it and I cant recommend the Dj democracy enough, Very stylish, super cool, professional and bloody lovely too. Cant give them enough stars! Here's their Website http://djdemocracy.com/
Hope this was helpful. Have a lovley time in ibiza.. was the best weekend of my life and I'm sure it will be yours too. :-D
