I don't get why no-one will see you making an entrance? I think part of the start of a fab wedding is having a grand entrance so I want to coordinate with the planner that everyone is outside when I arrive in my cool ride. Think that is too much??
Hi Ashley!
Congrats! I'm also getting married in Cas Mila in June 2015. We live in Australia but had a look around all the venues a few months ago as soon as we got engaged. We saw Cas Mila when it was getting set up for another wedding and it was lovely! Have you been out there yet?
In terms of free bar, instead of paying per person per hour, we are instead going to put a lump sum behind the bar. What about you? What package have you opted for? From memory it's 18 euro per person per hour for the bar, but I asked for the bar price list and drinks are around 7 euros. This means your guests will need to drink more than 2 drinks per hour to get your money's worth...
We've also just booked Ana Lui for photography! Love her!

Hi Everyone, another Cas Mila bride here for July 2014, just wondering if anyone can confirm at 12 they had the music move inside? i dont want the party to stop at midnight although i know the music will moved inside, that is fine if it means we can keep going. x
Hello another casa mila bride here, we're getting married may 2015, seems a while away yet, but every1 keeps telling me how quickly It will come round. We've been sent the confirmation and just in the process of sorting what extras we want. We recieved the timings of the day, and I was just wondering if there is any le way on the arrival time and ceremony times, it's schedul is for 6.30 I wouldn't mind it starting about 4.30? Does any1 know if this is possible? Thankyou x
Jess my worries are having the ceremony at 6.30 won't leave much time for music after the meal and speeches.
I've been informed by another bride that the timings were fine, if didn't seem too short, but didn't go on forever. I was maybe going to ask candi if we could just bring it forward by an hour. But then worrying about whether it will be too hot as we're getting married 31st July x
We are going to Ibiza for the first time in May to have a look at our shortlisted venues and whilst we are out there, we want to get a feel for possible wedding accommodation.
There will be between 50-60 of us, along with a 6 year old and possible two under 3's.
I'm not owrried about the area for now, but we want it to be:
15 minute walk into a town with bars and restaurants Beachside - or no more than 5 minutes from the beach To have nice rooms - may seem a bit of a silly one, but if people are coming over to Ibiza for their holiday with us, we don't want to ask them to stay anywhere too shabby Reasonably priced
We would be happy to consider a villa for the main party with a hotel/apartments nearby to house everyone else or also, a luxury and a more budget-friendly hotel which are soituated next to each other.
Does anyone have any reccommendations? Or, what options have you all looked into to house your guests?
This part is a lot harder than finding venues ever was!!
We also found this part difficult as our guests all have different needs (the younger ones will want to be in the more livelier areas and the olders ones will want quieter places), plus people are staying for different number of days/weeks and all have different budgets!
We are staying in a gorgeous villa near Santa Eularia with 8 other family members as I felt that would be the area best for families (relaxing, close to nice restaurants and bars and the beach), but not too far away from Playa D'en Bossa if we wanted to go out. Our wedding venue (Elixir) is around the other side of the island and we didn't let this dictate where we stayed as the whole island is so small so travelling from our villa to the venue won't be too bad and the wedding is just one day.
My plan was to find a nice hotel in each of the big areas (Santa Eularia, Playa D'en Bossa, San An, Ibiza Town) to recommend to guests (and look at getting a discount) but it proved very tricky because of the differing needs of them. Most abroad weddings are at a hotel and all the guests stay together but that's not the case in Ibiza - as the island is so small, and Ibiza is such a diverse place, people will all have their own idea of what they want. Aside from the wedding, this is still a holiday for people. It's also easy for people to drive/get a taxi around to other areas if people are staying in different parts of the island. If anyone has any tips or ideas for what to do with guest accommodation, please let me know too!
By the way, we used the Home Away site to search for villas - they work out cheaper than hotels by far. https://www.google.co.uk/#q=home+away+ibiza
Thanks for your reply. It's nice to know I'm not being particularly stupid and that this is an awkward part to arrange! May I ask what villa in Santa E you are staying in? Ideally, I'd love my family to stay in a villa and then we all stay in another hotel in SE - this is the ideal for me. I've also started looking at maps and working out what hotels are near each other, so was thinking that we could offer a 'nice' hotel to everyone, e.g. Tropic Gardens and then a nearvy luxury one, e.g. Aguas De Ibiza as they both look quite close to each other.
We haven't booked out venue yet - we havew a shortlist to view in May, but like you don't want to be beholden to an area just because of the venue. After talking to lots of friends who have stayed on the island, we've been told that SE and Talamanca would be good options to suit everyone - we have lots of friends - some with kids and some without and then family members too, so it is a mixed crowd!
I'll have a look on the Home Away link you sent - thanks for the tip all of the villas that I've looked at have worked out super expensively, but then i'm comparing them to the cheaper end hotels, I suppose! (For our stay in May, we've managed to get three nights for 2 people in a sea view balcony room at the Tropic Gardens for €105!)
Am getting very excited to go and view our shortlist of venues and get some more ideas on accommodation - I've got ages yet as we are aiming for 12th Sept 2015, but do ove a project! x
Also, anyone one who is looking at possible venues, a new one has just opened - Cotton Beach Club - they've sent me their mateiral and it looks amazing. Might be one to look at
I am new to the site and looking for advice/guidance in regard to Wedding Venues in Ibiza. I have spent hours researching where there is etc but would like any input that any of u may have. Everything and anything appreciated.
my first post on here! We are planning our Ibiza wedding for June 2015. I've also received Cotton Club info through and the venue looked fab but I think I remember seeing on there they charge you for staff as a separate cost which put me off a little.
just trying to narrow our list down of venues to visit when we are there - does anyone know much about PK2 or La Escollera?
also does anyone know roughly how much a sax player would cost?
I spoke to Andrea at La Escollera and she was so lovely and helpful. We told her exactly what he wanted and she came back with an initial price, which we refined a bit more etc. unfortunately, it was always going to come in over our budget, but she was really great and would recommend talking to her
Cotton Club have asked to ring me re details, which is good but in the initial stages i find it much easier to see a rough quote in writing. The material that they sent me through didn't reference prices bar the meals I don't think? Will have a look again on Monday though. It looks stunning! Although I still think that Pura Vida may be the one for us, like Andrew at La Escollera, Alexandra seems really lovely and helpful too - a high priority on my list of 'must haves' at a venue!x
Got some info back from Andrea too who is super helpful but is way above our budget, even with some negotiation it would still work out more than we planned. Shame as I love the look of it and yes agreed you def want someone like Andrea there on your day directing everything.
Pura Vida also on our list to see - Alexandra has been so helpful too. Did you look at Sa Punta? I contacted them 6 weeks ago - they replied on the first day & I sent them the info they asked for then nothing since??
Hiya ladies I'm just wondering if anybody knows how's close casa mila are and Cotten something I do not know the exact name, but know this venue has just recently opened thankyou if anyone can help xxxxxx
That's a shame as agree, it looks gorgeous. We have said that we will still pop in for adrink
When we visit in May as would still love to see it in person.
I didn't contact Sa Punta, so can't comment.
Iff the top of my head, the ones I found which were possibilities for a beach BBQ style wedding include:
Pura vida
Cas mila
La escollera
Experimental beach club
Babylon beach bar
Elixir
Amante
Tropicana beach club
Cotton beach club
Ses Roques (simplicity beach)
Guarana salinas
El chiringuito (Mambo)
Amante beach club
ECC beach club
There are prob a few that I've forgotten, but I hope this is a helpful start
We are heading over in May and have 4 on our list to see from the ones mentioned above which seem to fall roughly within budget and cater for what we want, but am very keen to know if there are any others that I should consider!
Your list looks similar to mine - I'll check it against my research tomorrow (my list is at work).
if your after a beach type place I've been to a wedding at Amante and it was GORGEOUS so would recommend viewing it. We can't get married there as it was a good friend of mines venue.
I'd love to look at Amante, but I've seen the price list and unfortunately it would blow our budget so we've had to exclude it from our shortlisted, sake with Elixir. They would both mean cutting back on other aspects such as dress and free bar which I don't want to compromise on. Such gorgeous venues though! I bet your friend had an amazing wedding, and how handy having someone close that has already been through organising a wedding in Ibiza! Feel free to pass any tips on
We are staying at Casa Cachon (http://websd-myibizavillanet.webs.com/) for two weeks surrounding the wedding, and then going to Formentera for a week afterwards for a minimoon!
Those hotels you mentioned look really nice, we found villas to be cheaper than booking a hotel as we're there with family for two weeks, plus we'll have our own grounds and pool to host parties for the guests before and after the wedding.
By the way, did/does anyone else have the problem of a venue saying you have to switch from a DJ to iPod music after midnight? xx
Hi ibiza brides. Almost booked for Pura Vida on 10th October. After being engaged for 3 years we thought we would go for it this year. Having considered all the popular venues in Ibiza there really was only one for us.
Our key wants were on the beach, scenic, romantic, informal and fun. Pura Vida ticks the boxes. Alexandra has been efficient and has amended their wedding package to suit us and our day. The costs are below budget which means more money to spend on our bridal party villa and maybe the dress!
Anyone considering this venue should definitely contact Alexandra
Looking for ideas on make up (smack are very expensive)photography and a ceremony master for the beach service.
Hi All, I am in the process of booking Elixir and paying my deposit. Was hoping you might have some advice. The inspirational bible come in March/April and I am worried that all the additional cost will be extortionate. Had anyone got one of these bibles I can possibly look at?
i think we are going for late June 15, we are going to see the venue in April so will decide for sure then.
I'm not sure about DJ yet - wanted to see what the guide suggested, same for florist. My friend got married in Ibiza in 2012 & recommended her florist too so was going to find out who she used. From the posts I've read I don't think there is a massive difference in the cost so will see.
Have you booked anything yet other than venue? I feel a bit in limbo at the mo.
Let me know if you haven't recieved the Inspiration Bible as i also have one. I'm getting married this August (28th) at Elixir and am in the final stages of planning and costings etc. There are certain things that do seem expensive but i must say Vickki is very accomodating and things are easily changed. I've arranged my flowers directly with Gary and Holly at Floral Dreams Ibiza and they've been great so highly recommend them. I did go with Steve the DJ that Vickki suggests but mainly because of it being less hassle, we've already heard from Steve and he seems really nice and wants to make sure he plays the right music for us and asked us to fill out a wish list.
We've mainly gone with the suppliers in the Inspiration Bible as everything in Ibiza is expensive i've found after doing some of my own research through other suppliers.
If you guys want any advice or to chat just let me know Happy to talk weddings, esp at the moment with it getting so close.. eek!
