Hi BeeZwax, we are getting married at cas mila at 6.30pm, ive been worried about there not being enough time to party at the end, but i know they bring the music inside at 12, until 1-2am Is that the dj or just an ipod? In your experiance is there enough time for guests to enjoy the music?
Ive been told we cant bring the wedding forward even by an hour. Thanks
Can any previous Cas mila brides confirm starting at 6.30 is plenty of time for everything? We will probably end up going out after any way, but i want my guests to have a good time. x
Copa thanks for the tip :-) do you mind if I ask which church you got married in? We are looking for one close to Elixir? Also did you provide transport from the Church to Elixir?
Hi Cazza01, i had my wedding at Cas Mila in July 2012. Our ceremony started at 6.30pm, I can honestly say that there was plenty of time for you and your guests to enjoy it. I think we left just after 2am. It didn't feel rushed, our wedding went at a nice pace, we even had the spanish guitarist, the fire dancers and a dj at the night, and none of this felt rushed either.
We got married in St Agustin Church. It was beautiful. I didn’t use Elixer, we had our party in Villa Paissa den Bernat and used Eat-Ibiza for catering. We transported our guests using Ibiza Tours and Island Bus www.ibizatours-islandbus.com. Prices were reasonable and they were very flexible.
Are you working with Sam Hocking for the church ceremony? She is great. She also organised a small Cava reception in front the of the church directly after the ceremony. The bar next to the church will arrange cava, water, soft drinks, etc and serve them to all of the guests on the church square. It was great to entertain the guests while we took some photos with the family and bridal party before they all got on the bus.
We are getting married at Elixir on 19th September, we are heading over in April for the taster meal on 27th April very excited
I was wondering if anyone could recommend any Villas, we had one booked but its turned out that he is a rouge trader so
we have no villa and have lost our £1000 so gutted ☹️ We are looking for a villa that
sleeps min 12 max 16, it doesn't really matter where abouts but
preferably close to Ibiza town or Elixir, we would prefer a modern décor rather
than the more traditional feel, we are planning on having our guests over on the
Sat after the wedding for a BBQ so it needs to have a large outdoor area with a
pool. Our budget is 5000 euros MAX.
Anneke Nicholson We are getting married at elixir and have booked Can Verru https://canverruibiza.com/ its gorgeous and everything you want. Not sure what sept prices are but you could maybe negotiate? x
it's hard to say Cazza. Cas Mila is not the easiest of places to get the party started anyway as the inside space is not as nice as the outside space and they have close neighbours so the volume has to be kept quite low when the doors are open. most people opt to do their first dance outside and then it can end up as quite a chilled vibe from the start as it's so nice and relaxed outside here in the evenings.
i'm pretty sure you can have a DJ until the end but it has to be inside with the doors closed from before midnight.
the best advice that i can give you is to make sure that the bride and/or groom are on the dancefloor the whole time - that pretty much guarantees that the rest of your guests will stay there ;-)
Has anyone got any good deals for photographer and videographer? Also is VAT to be added to all or do you know if Gypsy Westwood or Ana lui bypass this if paying by cash ??
Thanks Heather - it really was a great wedding :-)
I absolutely love playing through dinner but it doesn't happen as often as I'd like as couples' budgets are frequently way out of control before they even think about the music!
I have a great wedding lined up this summer where I will literally be DJing from start to finish, with support from a saxophonist for the arrival, cocktails, and some of the party - can't wait!!
After saying we wouldn't be able to afford one, we may be having a videographer via Ana Lui thanks to the future in-laws. The only thing is we have Gypsy Westwood's assistant doing our photography. Has anyone used both companies before and if so, how did it work out?
We've gone with Gypsy's assistant Emma doing our photography and Ana Lui's video team booked for our video for our wedding in August. All the planning for both is going well at the moment so don't think there will be any issues. They were both fine with having the other used
Would be interested to hear if anyone else has used them both though?
We had Daffodil Waves for photography and Ana Lui for Video, it was fine using 2 suppliers! Just remember it's your wedding day and your paying for their services so it's all about them keeping you happy!! We were exceptionally pleased with our photo's and video at our Elixir weddinglast June x
Did anyone have their wedding videoed? would you recommend? Not sure whther to have just the ceremony done, or pay the cash and go for the whole evening?
Yes we had the 6 hour package (4pm - 10pm) so it included the ceremony, meal, speeches, cake cutting and first dance. Expensive but worth every penny and so lovely to have it to look back on! The day goes so quick and its a lot to take in, the videos from Ana Lui are such a high standard! This was our video -

Personally I'd completely recommend investing in your photo's and a video, they are all you have left after the day!
Hi everyone, I've been reading these posts for a while now but this is the first time that I've posted. Everyone is so helpful and I've enjoyed reading about all the wedding plans! I've booked elixir for May 2015 and provisionally San Augustin church for the ceremony. I know it's a while off yet but I need to be organised!
There are a few things I'm concerned about, the first one being that I can't confirm the church until September! I've already booked things and paid deposits for my date and by this time some guests will have booked their stay so I'm hoping that this can be confirmed. Has anyone else had to work with a provisional booking? Did it all work out for your chosen date?
The other thing is the lack of seating inside elixir. I have a few children coming plus grandparents who will definitely need a seat. Do any elixir brides know if this be arranged? As it's the end of May I'm worried that the temperature outside will not be warm enough for people to sit outside. I have about 50 adults and possibly 15 children! Do you think we will fit in comfortably?
Hi Sarah
Weve also booked Elixir for next May & I had the exact same concern over seating inside and have been assured by Elixir that they can bring enough seating in from outside to fit around 50 people with room for dancing. They said it will be warm at end of May so they would suggest also leaving some seating outside!
Can I ask who you made your provisional booking with for the church? I was advised we cannot make provisional bookings only confirmed bookings in September. I really wanted to book San Jose church but cannot book this until December!!
It was your video that made me think of a videographer. Looked like such an amazing day and it literally had me booing as that Ben Howard song is what I'm walking down the aisle to!! Then we showed my other half's Mum and she started booing! Stunning video and stunning bride x
Ibiza2014 thanks for your reply. It's made me feel much better knowing that seating can be arranged. It's also good to hear that it will be warm enough outside in the evening. What date do you have booked in may? I'm 27th.
Regarding the church I have spoken to Sam Hocking. To be fair she hasn't actually said it's a provisional booking but I have told her which date and time I want and she has reassured me that it shouldn't be a problem. In my head I have provisionally booked it but I will be so much more relaxed when it is confirmed. Have you spoken to your own priest yet? I haven't and I'm not sure how far in advance this needs to be done. Why is San Jose December and not September like the others? What time are you planning your ceremony? I'm hoping for 3pm.
