LuxuriousYellowflowers - I thought both Amante & Pura Vida were lovely.

I went to a wedding at Amante last year - stunning venue & we have just got back from visiting Ibiza to look at venues. We saw Pura Vida when it wasn't even set up properly & still thought it was lovely. Both very different venues as one is actually on the beach and the other not so depends on what sort of wedding venue you are after.

Has anyone had their wedding party stay in Santa Eulalia? If so, what hotels did you use for your guests? We are looking at having two hotels very closeby, one as a 3* and one as a 4* so that people can work with their budgets, but that we are all together. We have a shortlist at the moment, but it would be great to know what other people have done/are doing in terms of their guests etc.

Also, on the back of this, what wedding websites did people use?~

    Thanks Smiley smile

Thank you so much jexybee, that's really helpful! Did you send out a 'Save the Dat' type card directing them to this information? Or was it a little less/more formal than that?

I hope you had a great time, the photo's are gorgeous Smiley smile

Thank you! It was such an amazing day - all our friends and family said it was the best wedding ever! We sent a postcard style save the date really early on then sent out official invites shortly after - http://www.goldfinchdesign.co.uk/boarding-pass-invitations/ - ours is the first one on her site - we then made a stamp with our wedding website address - with these guys http://www.englishstamp.com = and stamped the back of the invite envelope so people knew the website address... We are booked in for 3:30pm on the Sunday, what about you? We have appointments with florist, photographer, Ibiza butterflies, blesser, la di dah, we are also going to see the villa we have booked and I have my make up trial booked in too. Going over with both parents so we are taking them to the open day at elixir on Saturday too! I don't think there will be much time for relaxing but it's all very exciting! X

    Hiya!

We go to the food tastings on the Saturday. Am so exited to be back in Ibiza and to see the Elixir again!

I was thinking last night actually how this won't be the usual relaxing break as we are also meeting suppliers. Aside from the tasting, we're seeing the blesser, the photographer and the hair/make up people.

Still at least I'll be in Ibiza!

    Hi ya!

i get married at Amante in 18 days! Countdown is seriously on!

We are having la di dah for our cocktail reception - they've been great so far. Always reply quickly and they have learnt some songs we requested. Will let you know how they are on the day, I'm sure they'll be fab though!

    Hi Rachel -

I'm pretty sure she is 700€ but I'm not sure if that is 1 hour or 1.5 hours.

I really want a sax player but not sure my budget can stretch to that - although Laura is amazing.

Does anyone else have any of contacts?

    Hi Joanne,

I haven't actually heard the Elixir DJ yet but if Laura is 700 as Lj has said, I will probably go with them because we won't be able to stretch to a DJ on top of that!

I haven't received the bible from Vickki yet either, looking forward to receiving that and am hoping it'll help me tie up all of these loose ends!!

In regards to accommodation, we're thinking either villa or a smallish hotel so that the wedding party can be together.

I'm heading back out in September to check out accommodations so hoping to have more idea then! How about you? x

    Hi everyone

I am getting married at Elixir in May 2015 and I have been given some prices for the Lovely Laura.

If you have your own DJ Laura can play in the evening for 750 euros for 2 hours. Otherwise she can play alongside her husband DJ Santiago which is 1500 euros for the pair for 3 hours.

    I hope this helps!

I'm an Elixir bride too - June 2015.

The bible hasn't been sent yet but I got a copy of this years one a little while ago from some of this years brides on here.

I think the DJ cost is around 300-350€ & you have to hire the sound equipment too which is around 450€ I think, the prices may have changed a little though.

Great, thanks Lj, that's a great help!

Are you using the Elixir DJ or are you getting your own in? Do you also have to hire the sound equipment if you use the Elixir DJ?

I think I will probably go with the DJ Elixir use - found out last week he is my best friends friends fiancé so I am happy he will be good.

Yes you still have to hire the equipment - I asked Vickki when I saw the venue last week, she said you will need to hire it for the day music etc

I might see if Vickki can send over some links of him playing - I'm sure he will be good, I doubt she'd get a shoddy resident DJ in with everything else being so perfect!

Next on the list, the dress! xx

I think i'm going to go with Gypsy Westwood or Ana Lui for photography - so many great options out there though!

Joanne, Elixir is beautiful, it's great you're going to visit in August, the setting and venue really speaks for itself - it's exactly what I'd hoped for anyway, I'm sure you'll love it too; we also visited Amante and that was beautiful too.

Elixir is stunning - you will love it. For us it ticked all the boxes! I think Steve (the DJ) has been there doing their weddings since they opened so I have no issue booking him - its easier..-)

Amante is also gorge, my friend had her wedding there. We also met with Ana Lui & booked her for our day.

i don't think I'm going to do favors or if I do it will be scratch cards - just easy!!

Eeek so excited even if I do still have over a year to go

We are using the DJ that comes with the Ibiza wedding shop package. But then we spent extra money having fire dancers and Ana Luis video team.

We are doing lottery tickets or scratch cards as our favours.

    Fire dancers will be amazing!!

Lottery tickets is also a great favours idea, think I'm either going to go with that or little bottles of hierbas and welshcakes (as I'm welsh!) which I'll make
