Oh that's good I'm excited to see it no we have looked at Gypsy and her bro for pics and vid although I like Ana Lui aswell. I forget the guys name for celebrant. And think we will just go with Vickki for all decor, cake and DJ. Saw Smack website for make up and hair . Thinking of Villas for accommodation. Nothing booked apart from Elixir so far though what about you ?

Going over for a holiday in August for my 30th so might book to speak to people then

We have booked the venue & photographer (Ana Lui) - we went out to Ibiza a couple of weeks ago & met with her then & loved her. Think we will go with the DJ that Vickki uses & will prob do some of the decor through Vickki & some ourselves (I've seen the bible from this year & some things are quite expensive. Same with cakes.

Think am going to try & book someone to do the ceremony soon but not sure who to go with yet..-(

I've looked at smack too so going to contact a few people for prices as I think I've read on this forum they are very good but I want to compare the costs

I might consider looking at doing some of my decor myself also too then as table numbers etc can be made here for much cheaper

Ana's work is amazing, have you decided on video? It's so so expensive I'm looking the best deal ! So are you getting someone else to do cake then?

My partner has emailed a few celebrants I will get you some details, most seem lovely and priced similar.

was it surreal seeing the place was the food good?

I will make a few app for dresses in the summer I'm sept next year so ok for time I think, you?

Yes exactly - all the little bits add up.

We are undecided on a video at the mo, need to cost up the rest & see if we can afford it. At the moment I don't think we will go for one, I might asks couple of friends to do some bits of filming for us & the get my partner to put it together.

it was really surreal seeing the venue, it's lovely. We didn't get to try the food as they are not doing any tasting sessions till Oct & Apr next year, not sure we will be able to go out for them though as it depends how our saving is going..-) I have no doubt the food is amazing though from the reviews on here.

We are June next year so going to start the dress shopping next month eeeek!

If we got a deal on the video I think we will go for it, we hadn't really budgeted for it either, I hadn't realised photos would be so much as here in Ireland it would be much less, did Ana offer any discount? And what does her prices include (if you don't mind me asking).

The food does look gorgeous, are you going for menu or BBQ ? We will not get tasting in August either

June will be lovely to , we have been looking at get Villas but finding it hard to find a few in the same area and not sure what area is best , what about you ?

Hi all, I have been so busy with uni and wedding planning that I have only just caught up with all the messages on this. I am an Elixir bride also, getting married next year! So exciting hearing everyone's plans. I too am dying to see the wedding bible, feels like we booked our venue ages ago (it was sept so that's a slight dramatisation lol)!!

Can I ask all Ibiza brides which (if you are having a car) company did you use? I am not looking for anything "old-fashioned" (I mean that in the nicest way) or vintage, much more a modern car. Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated.

We didn't ask for a deal, I got Ana's/Gypsys prices through & they are both so in demand out there as they are both fab I figured it wasn't something I could try & negotiate on. Even with a deal a video is way out of our budget at the mo with all the other costs. We got Ana!s 8 hour package which is shooting the girls getting ready then right through to the speeches (she did my friends wedding & we loved her pics).

we are going for the Mediterranean menu as we are having more than 50 guests, it's the one we wanted but Vickki also recommends for +50.

We are also going for a villa with some friends but will probably be about 15/20mins away as there isn't a lot near the menu in terms of bars, restaurant etc, its away from all that. Think we are going to try San Jose as that's more centra & there are a few things there at least.

Elseyx - I don't think I'm going to go for a proper wedding car, I'm going to book something through a concierge company, it's not something that I'm really worried about as no one is going to see me arrive & we are staying there for the reception so is rather put the cost towards the extras.. I think in the bible there are a few recommendations of companies from Vickki.

Thanks LJ me and my partner love Anas work so will also have to wait and see how budget goes as if I remember an email from gypsy if we use get and get bit it's slightly discounted.

We would go for the 8hr package also don't want anything missed

We are having 50 guests so still considering what's best.

Think we will go for Villas also , have looked at Playa Den Bossa and Cala Vedella so far.

Not sure we will do Car rental either if I do I would be going with Vintage or VW bus maybe, the bible did have some recommendations.

I'm the same, not wanting a typical wedding car, just a nicer car that's big enough for me and my dress lol! Thanks, will wait and see what Vickki comes up with and take it from there.

Re. car rental; we're going with www.vintagebus4rentibiza.com instead of the ones mentioned in the bible. Just cheaper I guess, We tried to book everything ourselves as it saved us 20% on stuff like the car (it was explained as commission charges).

While searching for my wedding ride, I did come across Rolls Royces. If I remember correctly somewhere in the neighbourhood of 500 euro. I also did see the typical big mercedes and that kind of stuff.. And a red mustang which looked cool but you've got to like vintage and old for that I think ;-)

We're using the photographer included in out package (getting married at cas mila). We have a car included but I have booked an extra one for the bridesmaids and it was €120 euros. Think it's an Audi or merc.

Weve paid extra and had ana lui'a video team, after looking at her videos online i feel in love with them. It was a big cost that we wasn't budgeted for but I'm glad we've gone for it as they are beautiful videos and it will be something for us to watch again and again. As if imagine the day will go in a flash and all be a bit if a blur x

What is commission charges I never heard of this before ?

If anyone has any info on Villa's or Hotels convenient for an Elixir wedding if appreciate it

Hi Joanne,

If your guests are looking for family hotels or all inclusive etc. then san antonio bay is the closest. It's not exactly upmarket though so some people might not like it! You might decide that it's better to let people make their own minds up....

Some of the couples encourage their guests into the really English resorts like Es Cana or Cala Llonga. That way, people can be in different hotels, but still close by, and sharing the same stretch of beach. It's a fair way from Elixir, but the wedding is just the one night and it's a small island anyway so it really doesn't matter too much.

There is plenty of villa choice in the San Jose area too :-)

Thanks so much , I have seen a lot of package deals for Es Cana but not the nicest and I feel it's a little out of the way. I'm hoping for a really nice hotel or Villa's I have had a look at owners direct and there are some beautiful properties in San Jose, Cala Vedella and playa Den Bossa this may be a better option. If anyone had booked in these areas any advice .

I didn't know about it either until I found the actual website of one of the services I was looking at and the price was lower then quoted by the wedding planner. So I asked around. Apparently wedding planners, concierges, and others who recommend services, add 10-20% commission on top of the charge of the service. This is their fee for recommending the service. So as I'm on a tight budget, I searched for services needed myself instead of going with the recommendations from the wedding planner/guide. Sometimes it only saved me 50 euro's, but every little bit counts!

Oh yes I have heard of this I must look into things further and maybe do a bit more myself then. Exactly every €50 certainly will add up !

The planning has been very easy, Candi is fab, gets back to you really quickly and answers all your questions and queries. Are you all booked up? x

Ah lovely! No ask away, am happy to help. I have bought things for the table which I will be posting over to her, and we are making our table plan to take over.

favours I have done bags with scratch cards in and will be adding some love hearts and maybe a little something else.

We are staying in Playa Den Bossa in the grand Palladium Spa, we wanted to be near the nighlife as we will be going out and Cala Tarida is a very quite resort.

Have you been out there to view it and meet with Candi, we went last September on a day of a wedding to see what its like set up. The pictures on the internet don't do it justice, it was beautiful. x

I too am a Cas Mila bride - June 2014 - getting very excited now and also slightly nervous I must say!!

I am staying in Cala Tarida - 50+ of my guests are staying in the same hotel as us and the others that are more short weekend breaks are staying at the other cala tarida hotel up the road. It is quieter but I am going with family and also my daughter who will be 21 months then so the family resort suited us and then we have grandparents on hand for the nights we want to escape to the busier areas!!

Cazza your favours sound exactly like mine - I too am doing scratch cards in aa little bag with a pack of personalised love hearts - spooky!!

Nikki I must say I cant believe how quickly the last year has gone - it will be here before you know it.

Candi is great and has been so helpful throughout, and still is being now!

What are people getting for wedding party gifts? especially stuck on parents esp as mine have contributed quite a lot to the wedding?

I am keeping the table décor to a minimum really - opted for the vintage birdcages as going for an overall vintage feel to an extent.

I have had the DJ and photographer in the package and have also last minute added on the full day video through Candi also - couldn't resist being able to look back and also to show my little girl when shes a bit older!

I cant believe I will be there 6 weeks today!
