Planning a wedding in Ibiza

oh lovely, did you use a specific website for favour bags etc?

so what type of table decorations do we need to supply? i wasnt sure if Candi supplied this!

we haven't viewed the venue yet, but someone we know went to a wedding there and said it was lovely! thats great you have viewed it for yourself, i doubt i will get out there this year.

we are spending two weeks out there, how long are you planning on doing?

there are so many nice venue now in ibiza i was worrying i may have booked the wrong one!

Video is a good idea, we are considering this! how much did the full day video cost to add?

also which food option are you going for?

is candi supplying your table decorations and how did you decide on what you was having, doesn Candi give you option? (like sending photos etc?)

i think i will be doing a slight vintage shabby shic theme also.

ahhh 6 weeks will fly by!! so exciting! i cant wait to see all the 2014 brides pictures on ibiza wedding shop fb link this year!!

I bought all my little bits from Hobby Craft and also a place called Lavenders of London.

We have chosen a 6 hour video with Ana Lui which is 1200euro.

We are having a BBQ.

We chose the table vases with floating candles and petals for the tables. I have asked candi to keep by old wine bottles which I am going to put a candle in and wrap my table numbers around. I have got some pearls and sparkly jewel things to scatter on the table also.

We are going for 10 days, we are taking our daughter with us who will be nearly 2, but my parents are going to take her to their hotel for a few days so we can go out. x

I think my bags were only off ebay or amazon - turquoise organza bags I went for in the end as I think Im going to have vintage luggage tags for my place names which I will tie to the bags. The bags themselves weren't much at all.

I think the full day video is costing 850 euros or thereabouts - not cheap but sounds great!

I am just going to have the vintage bird cages on the tables that I think come with petals - I want the tables to stay quite simply decorated. I will have the table name and that's about it - although I may change my mind yet - it happens a lot just to warn you

I went out last July and went twice - once set up for a wedding and spoke to Candi and then again for a meal in the evening - you will not be disappointed its an amzing place and so beautiful!

We are going with the BBQ food option - it looks and sounds delicious!

i booked end of last year, so very early! i have ideas of my themes and colours i think so far! have booked gypsy for photgraphs, smack for hair and make up and have just booked a penthouse apartment in cala tarida for the two weeks. excited!

Yes they are included in the package, she will send it all over to you once its time to start planning the 2015 weddings. She will get the 2014 season out of the way then be in contact with you.

Ive sent her over a picture of the flowers I want, she said they will do them at no extra charge. I have also order the 2 big pews of flowers for at the end of the aisle.

My dad wants to put money behind the bar, just for wine and beer.

We are having cupcakes but I have ordered a cake to go on top so we have something to cut.

you can buy fans from Candi but I have ordered mine off the internet and will just send them over.

This is my first post on hitched. I'm also getting married at Cas Mila. September this year so not long now! I booked the full package through Candi at Ibiza wedding shop and all the planning has went very smoothly so far.

I was wondering if any of you are having your hen night in Ibiza while you are there? That's what I'm doing and looking for info on sunset cruises or nice restaurants with sunset views for 15-20 people?

Did you have to pay extra for the 2 big pews at the aisle? did you go for luxury bbq package? i dont know weather to do luxury or just the normal bbq package as not sure what the difference is.

did you order a fan for everyone or just a few for the chairs?

Is there a difference between the BBQ package and the luxury BBQ package? I thought there was just the one package!

Yes the flowers we're an extra €195.

In didn't know there we're different BBQ packages. We just went for the one that's one the sheet. What are the differences? X

I've ordered enough fans just for the woman. In guessing the men don't want to be fanning themselves x

I am also a cas mila bride getting married in 4 weeks aaahhhhh!!

Saturday 31st May

we have 55 people at grand palladium in playa den bossa

we stay for a week before then going into a villa in cala jondall

we have 15 people in mare nostrum, 10 people in cala tarida club, and some in algarb and some in Ibiza town and San Antonio.

About 90 people in total...

I am def going to be the one who falls down those stairs!!

it's Candi's son and it's compulsory to hire him now - apparently if you pick a different DJ then you still have to pay for him to be there.

I think he just does weddings so your best bet is to find a previous bride if you want some feedback.

We are sending over a list of all the songs we want played so I can't imagine too much will go wrong with the music if it's everything we've chosen x

wow 90 people that is alot of guests, i hope all my invites dont drop out last minute i want that many people! lol

i think i am doing my hen do out there the wednesday before the wedding (saturday) and will more than likely do something like Blue Marlin or maybe a boat cruise or something. someone asked about sunset restaurants.... Cafe Mambo is a popular one but not that big really and maybe you want something more plush?

I think its a Mercedes or Audi, we've got an extra car for bridesmaids as well.

we had 120 invited but have around 80 attending, everyone is all booked up so hopefully no one drops out.

Im making my table plans out of card and ribbon and having them hanging. x

Some interesting points in there but he's way off about villa weddings - most of them go way past midnight!
I DJ at lots and 3am or later is not unusual, especially if you have a wedding planner with good connections.

I got married at Elixir last June and hired a Villa literally in walking distance (We walked back after the wedding!!) booked through Ibiza spotlight, its called Can Bernadet and has gorgeous views (same as elixir) with an infinity pool! Lovely 3 bed villa, quite traditional inside but was so close to Elixir! My husband got ready with our sons at the villa and walked down! We hired a car and it was perfect, most our friends stayed at the Puchet in San Antonio booked via travel republic then our families stayed at Insotel Cala Tarida (lovely family hotel right next to Cas Mila too) then other family in San Jose in a Villa and the rest in Cala Vedella. Having a car made it great for us to drive round the island spending the days with our friends and family at their hotels and beaches.

For my Ibiza Hen do we had the sunset cruise with Mamboats which was SO good! Happy Planning! Hx

Do you mind me asking where you got ready? Did you book somewhere else for the night prior to the wedding. We are planning to stay in a hotel in Playa D'en Bossa along with lots of family and friends so I am thinking to hire a suite the night before for myself and the bridesmaids and mums to get ready and what not.

It's next year but these little things are so much fun to plan!!

Hi Nikki, Candi provides an easel to hold your table plan. x

That's a great recommendation. Elixir is part of an "Urbanizacion" (housing estate) called Urbanizacion Calimera Delfin and there are a few nice villas that you can rent on that estate, and even some apartments I think. There is also a hotel called Club Calimera Delfin Playa. As is usual with Ibiza there is all sorts of confusion with the address and spellings, but any place that mentions Delfin, Delphin, Calimera, Codolar etc. will be very close and also, places like cala tarida, cala conta, cala bassa are not very far away....
