Dnevers- just wondering how much it was for all of the extras that you had? (If u don't mind saying!) were they organised by Elixir or did you organise them yourself? X
we are flying out to Ibiza next Friday (18th ) to have a look at venues I am so excited!!! We are visiting Cas Mila first on the Friday and we're told there was a wedding on that day... Is this any of you ladies??
Hi i sent through payment to sara and corina on tuesday and emailed them after to confirm they gad received payment but not yet heard back either so maybe they will catch up with emails over the weekend... i hope!! lol xx
Hi brides has anyone had lovely laura play at their wedding? If so what slot did u go for, the after ceremony slot or later in evening slot? Just wanted some advice as to what she played for the sunset/after ceremony slot? Xx
Awww so wish I was in your shoes right now! The elixir is gorgeous! The light up LOVE sign was only added this year to their decorations list. We went to the food tasting in April and they mentioned them then.
i reckon we must have spent about €2600 on the extras at Elixir (including the cake, flowers and decorations) then we got a few cheap bits from ebay/Amazon etc. we found when we sourced prices ourselves through external suppliers the prices weren't much different to what was in the bible so we decided to go with the elixir's suggestions as they were recommended and it was easier.
had lovely laura play after ceromony and she was amazing worth every penny! she was going to play a jazz set but ended up playing lots of dance songs and the party really got started lots of guests commented that it was one of the best parts of the wedding!
Iv put on a picture of the cake so you can see how big the extra cake for the top of the cupcakes is and my table plan
did candi provide your table plan or did you take that with you?
also i have booked lovely laura for after the ceremony too, she gave us two quite chilled out backing tracks which i wasnt that keen on. what did she use for you?xxx
The table plan was my own that i brought over was a pain to find a case big enough but got it over there safe and sound in the end i just put all my extras in a lightest case in the world suitcase and paid for the extra case instead of sending it beforehand.
Maybe if you ask laura she might be able to do you a playlist a bit more upbeat we just used one of our iphones for the music as she was prepared to do a jazz set also had ivan play at our hotel and he was also good but more of a jazz player that dance!
Am I the only one that would feel like once the legal bit is done what is the point in the Ibiza bit? Will you be celebrating after the registry office or just carrying on as though a normal day?
For most people the Ibiza bit is the important bit - the registry office is just a formality and they don't really invite anyone (just witnesses)
I think the reason people almost always do it before the Ibiza wedding is so that when the actual 'ceremony' happens, you are married by the end of it.
No, the way im looking at it is that will be a little ceremony in the run up to our big day in Ibiza. I would imagine going from having the big day in Ibiza first to then going to a registry office would be a little underwhelming (just my opinion).
we are also out in Ibiza for a week after our blessing there, so would be like were there on our honeymoon but aren't even married,
Weve got a few people for drinks and nibbles after the registry office. xx
We did the registry office part in December 2011 but our blessing isnt until July 2015, we always wanted our big day in Ibiza but just simply couldnt afforrd to do it when we got engaged, I then fell pregnant and we decided to do the registry office bit whilst I was pregnant then we started saving for Ibiza, on our save the dates we just put it as a vow renewal! So by the time we fly out we will have been married legally 3and a half years!
We met with both Gypsy and Ana in Ibiza in May (both were lovely).
We also felt our budget wouldn't stretch to their packages, especially as we really want a video too!
We found it cheaper to fly a British photographer out there- we've booked a friend of a friend who is a fairly new photographer and keen to get a destination wedding on her portfolio.
It might be worth you getting some quotes from UK people!
Does anybody have any good videographer recommendations?
I agree too with doing the registry office bit first.
The way I see it is I won't be wearing my dress until Ibiza (good excuse for two outfits!!) and my partner and I have decided we won't exchange rings until Ibiza either.
We have elderly grandparents who won't be joining us in Ibiza so we hope to make the legal wedding a special day for them really.
I love this forum and read all your posts- am going to make sure I make the effort to post stuff too! It's so helpful ☺️
Have any Cas Mila brides got any pics they can email me please, I'm hoping to fly out this year to look at the venue, U haven't seen it yet (apart from pics on google) I'm just wondering if its as great as it looks?
Hi emerald, I don't hjave any pictures, but we booked before seeing the venue - we went there last September to view when a wedding was on and it was lovely. I've heard they've also done it up a bit since then, although I don't know what? x
Oh really? I'm itching to get out and have a proper look, just got so much going on this year, don't know if we'll get chance :-(
When is your big day? I'm so worried about getting a table plan out there and what decor to have, so many things going around in my head aarrgghhhh lol
That's completely how I feel, so me and hubby to be have decided to do the Ibiza wedding first and then on the day of the UK reception, we will sign the paperwork in the morning and then have the reception that afternoon, so it's like another whole day of wedding
