Well that's it wedding day over and done with. If anyone is having any worries regarding cas mila DONT! It was absolutely stunning Candi did an amazing job and everyone couldn't get over how amazing everything looked. Enjoy it as it goes so quickly. X
Ahhhh Cazza, so amazing - congratulations!! Tell us EVERYTHING!! Ok, you don't need to, but you must be on such a high. I can imagine that one of the main differences about getting married abroad is that you don't feel that lull that UK brides talk about the day after the wedding, as you're still in an amazing place, on holiday with all your friends and family.
Congratulations again and post some pics if you can when you're home xx
I'm new to this group, have loved reading through the posts its been very informative. Myself and my partner have recently cancelled our UK wedding and have set out hearts on having it in Ibiza. We are currently thinking June 2016 so a little while away yet. Think we have narrowed our venues to Cas Mila and Elixir they both look stunning venues. Due to saving hard we probably wont get to go and look at the venues in advance so any information you could give would be brilliant.
We have been in touch with Candi and she has given us a rough quote without any extras we might need, I have sent Elixir an email but am not sure if its them that I need to contact or someone else?
Also if anyone could forward a copy of the bible that would be great so I can get some ideas of costing my email is **************@*******.***
I've been following this forum for almost a year and find all of your posts so helpful - thank you!
We are getting married at Cas Mila in June 2015. I am organising it all from my home in Australia but I'm lucky enough to be visiting Ibiza this month for a few days, so hoping to get lots organised then. So exciting!
ibiza1 - thank you for sharing your stunning photos! They are absolutely gorgeous and it looks like you had an amazing day :-) Do you have any top tips you can share with us?
Lauren - I checked out your videographer recommendation and he looked great! I also watched your highlights video - so special! Unfortunately Adam is already booked on the date of my wedding.
I am using Ana Lui for photography and would also like to book her videographer. However Ana has said that he might be moving back to the UK next season so she may not be able to offer videography. Who is everyone else using?
I can recommend Villa KM5 if anyone is looking for an amazing yet reasonably priced villa for the bridal party. I have already stayed there for 2 years in a row and it has the most fabulous pool! It is just behind KM5 bar and sleeps 16-20. If you fill it to capacity, it's around 350 per person per week which I think is quite good considering the quality. The master suite is enormous so perfect for getting ready in and photos.
Happy planning everyone! And Cazza - can't wait to see your pics!
Been having a read through a lot of the posts and found this forum very informative. Thanks.
We are planning on getting married in ibiza in June 2015 and have been researching various venues etc. The amount of information we have came across has all been a bit overwhelming.
A lot of the venues have minimum spends of around 12k which renders them out of our budget. We anticipate between 60-70 guests will come over.
Can anybody share their experiences or make any recommendations for venues, possible villas for bridal party, wedding planners, cars, flowers, entertainment etc.
I always envisaged getting married in a Hotel however hiring out a restaurant for the event appears to be the norm.
We are planning on visiting the island in August and are compiling a list of venues to visit. Do you think hiring a car and visiting these places would be good idea or best paying for a wedding planner to escort?
Also a lot of the venues seem to offer in house wedding planning services where as some wedding planning companies will plan the wedding but charge around 1000 euros. Have people found the 'in house' planners adequate or is it best to plan via an independent company.
Some of the in house planners are very good, but they will obviously have the venues interests at heart rather than your own.
An independent planner will always be looking for the best value and the best service for you and they won't push you to only choose certain venues or suppliers. Also, you will have a much greater choice of suppliers, decoration etc. so you can make your wedding look different to the one the day before and the one the day after....
Ibiza1 - stunning photos, you looked gorgeous and so so happy!
Mags - I made appointments direct to see all the venues (restaurants, villas and fincas) we wanted to see before we flew out there, worked out around 2 per day over 4 days which left plenty of time for relaxing at the gorgeous beaches all over the island. Most of them I found through reading this blog. We hired a car and was very straightforward and easy...even with me navigating! Candi who looks after Cas Mila also looks after a number of other venues so probably a good idea to contact her if you like the look of a few of them and she'll be able to take you round, but as for the others, it's really easy to do it yourself.
Mags - we also pre booked all our appointments with the venues directly & hired a car a d drive round. We did ours quite back to back though & got round them all in the first 2 days so we could relax for the rest of if we were torn we could go back.
We saw all the main ones but a mix of types of venues - Elixir, Cas Mila, Atzaro, Boutique Hostal Salinas, Pura Vida & we went to ECC beach & El Chiringuito but just looked at those 2 from the outside as they were getting ready to open. I would say def get a car so you have the freedom to jump in & drive ssomewhere.
Thanks folks, think we will hire a car (and a sat nav lol) and attempt to drive around a few venues.
Can anybody comment on the 3000 euro exclusivity fee for casa mila, it was a front runner for us as a venue but this fee may just tip it out of our budget.
Have people found exclusivity essential, is the fee negotiable etc
Magsibiza we didn pay for it. We had 80 wedding guests. There we're ither diners at the restutant but to be honest we didn't even notice they we're there. Your tucked around the corner. We used the extra money to put behind the bar so our guests didn't have to pay for drinks x
Hi! We are looking to book a wedding in Ibiza in Aug/Sept 2015...I am not really sure what I am doing to be honest...we have looked at booking with a travel agents and to be honest it looks a bit like hard work...harder than a home wedding!!
Does anyone have any experience of weddings abroad, in Ibiza in particular? We know that we need to get booked pronto...
Hi Magsibiza - we used www.vintagebus4rentibiza.com (fb: vintagebus4rentibiza) for ourselves and they arranged a big mercedes for the bridal party. We rented ibizaislandtours for a big bus for the party guests. All went great - paid in advance whatever they listed on their site and no costs at the end besides a small tip. Lovely people. We had asked if they had the liability insurance or whatever it's called and they said they did.
Hola - I actually think part of it is but maybe for a few steps which I'm sure they can fix with a small ramp. However, if you want to use the beach part for drinks, there's a lot of steps, steep, going down. Have you looked at Elixir? No steps I think at all. But I don't know about the bathrooms. Or on the other side of the island Pura Vida - easy beach acces, everything ground floor.
ive gone for a luggage tag & postcard design for my invites, the luggage tag was the invite, the postcard was the RSVP & I've done an extra insert for details, I got them on minted.com.
LucyIbiza - I'm planning my wedding for next year & so far it's been far less stressful than trying to plan here. Look on the Internet at the venues then contact them for their wedding brochures. Ibiza is small so you have a handful of suppliers to choose from
We have come to Ibiza every year fir the past 12 years and know a lot of the venues. Finally we got married there ourselves this May, at Atzaro. Have you looked at for example, white-ibiza.com? They have a wedding list for example with a lot of information. They also have an overview of almost all the venues. Hope this helps a bit. Ibiza
Don't forget about Amante Beach! Stunning location! That and Elixir and ECC are my favourite but they were out of our price range :-) Pura Vida and Atzaro next favourite - we chose Atzaro and Atzaro Beach. Loved every minute of it. Beautiful spot and intimate. Great view right smack on the beach (Atzaro beach).
Hi lux
Thanks it's for my mum, she can walk a small amount but does need a wheelchair with her. Although her and my dad arnt coming and are just attending the ceremony here!
Do elixir cater for small wedding parties as there will only be 14 adults if my parents come and 4 kids?
