How are you? I'm also getting married at Cas Mila and thinking about using Ana Lui's photography team. Would you mind if I had a quick look at your video? My email address is ***************@*******.**.**. Also, which photographer did you use?
I went to dinner at the venue last month and it was perfect :-) Bet you had a wonderful time! xxx
If you are after accommodation near Elixir to recommend to your guests, I recently stayed at Landhotel Calador near Es Vedra. Its a boutique hotel, in fact it is a little like a large villa that has been converted into a hotel. The pool was stunning and the views of Es Vedra spectacular. I would definitely recommend it for guests not staying an entire week who want to be close to the wedding, however you do need a car! Its also got great reviews on Tripadvisor and is quite reasonably priced.
As for photography, we have booked Ana Lui but still deciding whether to get a videographer. I wasn't aware Gypsy's brother was a videographer until reading your post - does he have a website with examples of his work?
Thank-you for your help. His name is Jake and you can get the details from Gypsey Westwood's Site, he works out at €800 for 8 hrs of video unedited which I think is more reasonable than what others are offering.
When is your big day and is it Elixir ? Have you sorted accommodation yet ?
Just wondering what everyone has used for favors, i'm struggling to find something suitable for everyone, i am having fans for the ceremony anyway but that will be used mainly by the ladies i'm assuming.
Also anyone have any ideas if Candi offers more options for the table decorations other than vases and birdcages, im worried table might be too plain?
Can anyone recommend a good car hire company and a boat company please??
Hi, We got married at Cas Mila on 25th August, it was the best day ever and completely exceeded our expectations. We already knew it would be amazing just because of the actually venue been so stunning.
Candi was absolutely brilliant and everything was so perfect, we wouldn't have changed anything. The only thing I wish I had have seen is everyone's reactions when they arrived at the venue.
For table decorations we had the glass vases with floating candles an flowers which was then sounded by fairy lights. I thought this may have looked slightly tacky but it was beautiful. I made my own hessian table runs for each table plus my table number. I also had on the tables wooden tiny letters L O V E and little wooden hearts about 0.5 cm in size. everyone complimented me on how amazing everything was and that the attention to detail was perfect. I thought the table may have looked busy but it didn't at all.
For favors I made little Hessian sack for each guest and when we arrived in Ibiza I bought the favors gifts there as I wanted a touch of Ibiza. it took us ages to decide what to have and in the end we settled on leather bracelets, pink for the girls and brown for the boys and everyone loved them. In fact everyone is still wearing them.
I to had fans on all the chairs for the guests which included the order of service and wedding party details, everyone used them as it was sooooooo hot!!!!!
I think by the end of the evening had just about melted in my Wedding dress, if there is one piece of advice i can offer its to really think about your dress and the heat!
Anna the photographer in the package was fab, I can't wait to get our pictures back in afew weeks. the sky was so blue and the sunset was amazing!
If you're worried about the lack of contact before your big day from Candi, don't be, this concerned me but she had everything noted down from emails we had sent and requests we wanted. we had a pre wedding meeting 5 days prior to the day and she ran through everything.
If you have any questions I am happy to answer them xx
Yes that does seem a little more reasonable than some of the other videographers. I would love to pay someone to capture the day on film but my partner thinks its excessive and is also a little camera shy :-) Need to twist his arm!
We are getting married at Cas Mila. I have been to Elixir and absolutely adored it, however we also loved Cas Mila and Cala Tarida is one of our favourite beaches with so many memories (in fact, Phil used to work as a lifeguard on that beach many years ago!). I can't wait. We are getting married in June next year but live in Sydney, Australia, so its tricky to transport everything over!
How is your planning going? Have you had any luck finding a villa? x
Your wedding sounds beautiful! Its made me even more excited about my own :-) Did you have a videographer? And how did the photos come out?
The glass vases sound lovely - was that included in the package? Did you go for any additional flowers or decorations other than what you mentioned? And what did you use for the table plan? I am going crazy seeing things on pinterest but know that its not practical to travel with lots of bulky items (especially coming from Australia!). I am trying to decide whether to pay extra for flower arrangement centre pieces.
Finally - how was the food? Did you opt for the three course meal? What menu choices did you make?
So sorry for all the questions. Thanks in advance and looking forward to hearing from you :-) x
For wedding favour ideas, I stumbled across this website which is great - http://www.weddingstar.com.au/wedding-favours/unique-wedding-favours
Some of the items a little pricey but bet they have cheaper versions available on Etsy. I LOVE the vintage travel boxes!
As for centre pieces, I am also wondering if I should get extra flower arrangements... have you seen the beautiful white flowers on the pic on the Cas Mila website? Stunning! I wonder how much more it would cost to have them instead of the bird cages...
Hi Lucy - nice to meet you! I am planning right this second actually, trying to work out decor, table plans, centre pieces etc. So much to think about! I am getting married on Fri 26th June so just after you. Exciting!
Are you expecting many guests? Where are you staying? x
im just starting to do the planning now it's so exciting!
We have around 30 guests coming up to now but that will probably grow with time haha!
We are staying in a family hotel as there's quite a few children travelling with us. Up to now there is 18 of us staying at the Sirenis Club Aura in Port Des Torrent.
I am getting married next year ( September ) at Elixir and have a few questions...
Are you/did you stay in the same hotel as your guests for your stay in Ibiza or did you stay somewhere alone with your new husband?! And where did you stay?
Hi to all Cas Mila brides, just to let you know I'm currently in Ibiza and went to visit Cas Mila today, it was raining and still looked amazing, the view is just stunning! I've met Candi and Anne and they're both very professional! I just wanted to put this on here because if any of you ladies are like me, you'll be worrying about the fact that it's so far away from home to plan a wedding. My mind had been put totally at rest now and I have 100% picked the right venue :-)
Hi all, another Ibiza bride checking in with this thread!
My fiancé and I have booked 1 June 2016 at Pura Vida. We've both always wanted to get married on the sand and so the more relaxed vibe at PV really appeals to us. Plus Alexandra was incredibly helpful, she was happy to negotiate with us on packages and prices until we had found one that was within our budget.
We did like the look of Cas Mila and Cotton also, but Cas Mila was all booked up for summer half term week 2016 (some dates by you ladies I'm sure!) and we never heard back from Cotton. It's a bit stressful booking without seeing the place , but this forum has been incredibly informative!
Even though it's 20 months away I still feel like I have plenty to get on with - next job booking the registry office!
Really enjoying reading about everybody else's experiences planning their big day and looking forward to getting involved myself x
I'm getting married there Sept 2015 and am so glad we picked it - it's the perfect choice for us. I basically had it at the top of my shortlist just from viewing websites etc and went over May this year to view it, alongside some other venues.
It was everything I'd hoped for. All on one level (bar two steps down to the beach), amazing views, a proper outside venue and importantly, flexible and affordable. Alexandra was friendly and has been really helpful - although be prepared to wait for a reply during high season asshe hosts multiple weddings each week!
We are going back over in May next year for ous tasting menu and I can't wait!
Hi hi - re. car hire company, we used www.vintagebus4rentibiza.com as our ride. Dad and I drove to the venue and then afterwards hubby and I took pics in and around the van with and without family. Quit fun. For the big bus for the guests we used Ibiza Gran Turismo. They have all sorts and sizes.
Thanks Brian! Really great to hear that from a local. We're both excited to fly out and see it for ourselves - hoping to go out in early June 2015 so we can see it at the right time of year.
Hi Sian, loving your description of the venue - thank you! Yes we found PV so flexible and affordable, it turned out to be one of the only places on the island we could afford to hold the wedding (and luckily beachside as well!).
We're hoping to visit in May/June 2015 as well so we can check the place out for ourselves.
Will keep an eye out for posts from you over the next few months!
The best thing to do is ring Alexandra and ask - we negotiated our price with her directly. In the end we're looking at around €10,500 for food, drink & ceremony for 100 guests.
