Planning a wedding in Ibiza

How did you & your husband get home at the end of the night? The minibuses?

I booked an extra car for my bridesmaids, it was about €120. We then booked minibuses from the venue to take the guests back to their hotels x

Hi Bekki, actually, I asked vintage bus for help with a bridesmaids car and they provided a contact who followed the veedub with a white mini van for the bridesmaids. Made a stop along the way so we could have a girls picture all squeezed into the veedub. Was a fun day for sure. The guys had rented their own car and I'm not sure what they did before getting to the venue.... But they got a picture of all the guys squeezed in as well after the ceremony (vintage bus waits around so you can have pics taken after the ceremony).

And 1 big bus to get home which ended up being a party bus.?

Hi random questions but do any previous casa mila brides use a flower girl basket of candi's and also did she provide anything for cards for the guests to place??? xx

nikki I took my own Flowergirl basket and faux petals to go in you will b able to get them cheap over Easter time not sure what candis are like but don't think they were much

I took my own flat pack post box from home bargains and decorated it myself with my colour theme il try post a pic x

I have my wedding booked at elixir this September & haven't been contacted by them yet to give me any more info/answer any questions is this normal or am I panicking?

Also what are your plans in terms of music is it just song coming in/out and first dance/evening meal & Steve will sort the rest? Or will we need to sort extra songs for during the ceremony?

Hi Beki - I am also booked at Elixir but in June. I think they must be busy getting things sorted now for the start of season, if your panicking just ping them a mail.

i contacted them last week about music and we are arranging:

- music for arrival

- music for aisle

- music for aperitifs (if your not having a performer)

- music during dinner

Then Steve does the music for the evening party

we have gone with Hedley Paul for the ceremony.

I did loads of planning when we first booked it but have not done anything for ages - trying to but work /life is crazy just now. Ive pretty much booked all the suppliers it's just the personal bits left but time is going so quick! How about you - do you have much still to organize?

Just little bits and pieces for me too.. Going to get a few chalk boards etc & a guest book. Are you having much other decor other than what elixir have provided in their bible?

i still also need to get bridesmaid dresses & groom suits! Still deciding as well weather it's worth spending out the extra on a videographer for the day or just stick with photos.

Are you having the welcome drinks for when your guests arrive?
I have said yes but just working out our budget it's quite a chunk. I don't want our guests to arrive and not be able to have anything to drink but it's only half an hour untill I arrive I can't decide?

Hi, I'm also getting married in Elixir and just before you on the 30th Aug!

We have decided against the welcome drinks, they'll serve iced cucumber and mint water during this time anyway and given it's only 30 minutes and there'll be all the drink guests can possibly drink after the ceremony they can hold off for 30 mins!! (plus can't have them having too much fun before I arrive!!haha!)

We still have bridesmaid dresses to get and grooms suit to get too, but do have an idea of what we want so shouldn't be too much of a lengthy task...I hope!

Have you decided on all of the decor etc? We've opted for the arch and scattered candles other than that we're just going to do it ourselves, such a pretty venue I don't think it needs too much.

Is anyone going out to the tasting at the end of April? I can't wait to head out and see it again!

Thanks so much Rachel, we have decided to cancel the welcome drinks as it is really very expensive and as you said it's only half an hour and they are getting a whole day/evening of drinks after - thanks for you're advice.
I am not doing tooo much extra deco as you said it looks gorgeous anyway but we are having the LOVE sign and romantic lighting also the arch.

Does anyone know if your first dance usually takes place inside or out? I seem to visage it outside under the stars but I don't know if steves system can stretch out there?!

Is anyone having the Spanish guitarist whilst photos etc are going on? I've tried to look him up and can't find him online and worrying abit that's he's not going to be what we want.
