So lovely to hear that everyone is getting as excited as I am!
I'm getting married on the 26th June at Cas Mila and wondered if any previous Cas Mila brides could give some menu recommendations for the three course luxury package? Usually we would like to try the food in advance before selecting the menu, but I live in Australia which makes things a little tricky! I also went to get my menu cards designed and printed before I leave for Europe.
Hi Ladies. I'm planning to get married in Ibiza next year and it sounds like what you're doing is similar what I'd like to do. We'd like to hire a villa and have the ceremony there, go to restaurant and back to the villa for a party. I'm currently in the process of looking for a wedding planner and/or villas.
Can anyone recommend a good wedding planner? I've contacted a few but they take so long to reply! x
I am planning our wedding in Ibiza and hoping to get married in Sept 2016. We have a shortlist of venues, I was wondering if anyone had any other venue ideas. The ones I have so far are:
Cicale Restaurant San Juan
Las Banderas Restaurant/Hotel (this is actually on Formentera)
Can Gall
Cas Mila
We want something very Ibizan and quite rustic. I am going visiting at the end of June and want to view as many venues as possible. We are looking at having around 80-100 people and ideally want somewhere that we can have a party until the early-ish hours.
Congratulations! We seem to have
wanted similar things from a wedding venue so going from my own experience researching
for my August wedding:
Casa Colonial near Santa Eulalia might be worth a look. They can cater for large groups and they allow music to go on until about 3am. Wolfgang is very helpful and the food there is really good!
Can Gall is gorgeous and you could not ask for more helpful owners. But to
guarantee exclusivity you will have to book out all of their rooms for three
days (if I remember rightly). We decided against this for our own wedding as our
guests are paying slightly extra for a 2 week stay in a really nice villa or a
week in all inclusive hotel. It didn’t seem right for us to ask anyone to pay
that much for 3 nights.
Finding a late night venue is
very hard and Cas Mila will not allow loud music after 12am so we struck that
venue off our list. Worth keeping in mind if a late night party is important to
you.
If you are open to having a
beachside wedding, have a look at El Chiringuito in San Antonio. They cater up
to 120. We wanted a late night party so we are moving down the road to the
Savannah back room (on the sunset strip next to Café Mambo) after midnight
until 4am which the venue have all organised as they are both owned by Café Mambo.
Is anyone else on here going to the tasting this weekend at Elixir?
I'm so looking forward to going out to see the venue again all set up for a wedding and to try the food as well as meeting some of the other brides getting married there this year!
Hi, is there anyone that is doing the presents after or before the holiday/wedding? i am getting married in may and i am still stuck on gifts which we can bring over to ibiza?
im getting married at Elixir in 4 weeks and I still have a few things to sort!
What is everyone having for the favours? I've got pashminas for the ladies for when it goes cooler at night, but I'm not sure whether to have these on the chairs at the tables or in s basket for the women to take if they want one. I have no idea what I'm getting for the men and I'm running out of time!
Nikki 1234- I'm buying spa vouchers for my mum and mother in law and bridesmaids as they are easy to transport! Hopefully we can all go to the spa together when we get home from ibiza
The groomsmen have been bought ted baker suits to wear for the wedding which they will get to keep so they won't be getting a present!
Hi Sarah2015 - I saw the cutest idea to use pashminas as colourful tie backs on the chairs (like you'd see at a wedding in the UK). It'll add a splash of colour to your seating area too and the team at Elixir will be happy to set these up after the chairs have been used for the ceremony. You can always attach a little handwritten tag saying thank you on each one. I would definitely have done that if my wedding was earlier in the year. I made recovery kits as favours for the younger guests using hessian bags (and filled them with a sachet of coffee, tea, sweets, paracetamol and an eye mask), the older ladies got a manicure set and the older gents got bottle openers, both in a beach theme from eBay shops. Good luck!!
I'm not sure about an officiator, but we had Paul from Cuerdas on guitar, he's from the UK but lives in Ibiza now, you can contact him on *************@*******.**.** He's really good and played everything we wanted, just gave him a list of songs, and then we used Ibiza Pro DJ, ****@**********.*** they were really good, they had a great set up and the party was awesome! although it went too quickly.
This is my first post on here having spent the last few days reading through this thread!
myself and fiancé have our hearts set on getting married abroad and after lots of research have decided on ibiza. At the moment I am set on Cas Mila and have contacted candi at ibiza wedding shop for a quote which she has come back with just over £3k for 20 adults and 10 children is this reasonable??
also wondering if any past brides can give me any help on hotels as we are looking for a nice family all inclusive hotel? From what I have read there isn't much in cala tarida so I'm thinking we may have to look at a different resort??
We are looking for something really relaxed and informal so I have said about the bbq for the meal has anyone had this at cas Mila was it nice?
Sorry for all the questions but want to get as much info as possible before we decide and book!
Although we are based in worcester we do travel all over the UK, even to Europe on occasion (i do like those weddings ), if you would like a quote for anything or just to chat about more options for you please feel free to drop me an email ******@**********.**.**
I'm sure you Elixir brides are getting excited ! Just over 12 weeks to go for us ?!!
Just two quick questions -
Any recommendations for dress steaming ?
And in relation to children at Elixir are you keeping them there until the end of the night? We have 2 children 6 & 3 and obviously no childminder as everyone will be there !
We have just returned to rainy England after our amazing Ibiza wedding. All the suppliers that we used were just fantastic and I really feel that they deserve a recommendation for those who are just starting to plan, and reassurance for those who may have booked them already!
We were married on Wednesday 27th May at San Agustin Church and then Elixir for our reception. Both were just absolutely beautiful.
Elixir brides you are in good hands, everything is planned to perfection so that your day runs smoothly. The staff cannot do enough for you, especially Una who takes care of every detail and keeps a drink in your hand. The food was the best I've ever had and every single one of our guests agreed. Vickki also made my wedding cake which was delicious.
If you are getting married in a church, Samantha Hocking is the lady who organises all the paperwork and also sings in church. Her voice is amazing and it was so emotional all the guests were in tears every time she sang! Her and her husband are just lovely, and so well organised. She also arranged caterers to serve drinks outside church which was fab as it was such a hot day.
Ana Lui truly is fantastic. She was so relaxed and made photos fun!
Floral Dreams Ibiza did not disappoint with the flowers, they were more beautiful than I had imagined! And Gary and Holly were so helpful when choosing the flower types and colours.
Smack Ibiza Hair and Makeup made me and my bridesmaids look beautiful
Lovely Laura was brilliant on the sax, and such a nice person too.
Resident DJ Steve at Elixir was great and played everything that was requested almost straightaway.
We hired a Rolls Royce from Frankie- while we were having photos taken he took one of the guests back to the hotel to collect a buggy- what a lovely man.
To transport the groomsmen and bridesmaids we used Taste Ibiza- Roy was really helpful when choosing the vehicles and we booked 2 Mercedes Vianos which were fab.
Finally.. Not Ibiza based but our stationary was designed by Shell at Something Kinda Cute. She was lovely and we loved our stationary. Her website is well worth a look!
Happy planning and enjoy every minute of your day, I want to do it all again!
And how could I forget Kids In Ibiza.. They were Amazing!! I had 13 children at my wedding and we didn't see them all day, they were happily playing and creating wonderful pictures and crafts. We even got a lovely canvas to take home which the children had made for is We kept the nannies until the end and it was worth every penny! x
Sarah - reading your post has just made me super excited for my wedding (3 1/2 weeks). I have used most of the same suppliers as you so pleased to know I'm in safe hands.
We have 6 children at our wedding & I originally only booked kids in Ibiza till 10pm but I am thinking of extending this now if you recommend this.
Ah it's so lovely to hear such amazing feedback, your day sounds perfect!
HI Ladies, this is my first post on here. Me and my partner have recently got engaged and are looking at getting married abroad. I have been searching high and low for venues and came across Atzaro. I have fallen in love with it. I was just wondering if any body has/is getting married here and could tell me the price. Or if anyone has any other venue ides. My aim of having it abroad is for both families to come together while having one big holiday and the wedding being in the middle. We are looking for between 10-14 days.
i have just come back from my wedding at Casa Mila, it was the best day, could not fault anything! We had the bbq and there was so much food and everyone enjoyed it, i couldnt eat much myself from the excitement but from what i did it was yum and just perfect for the sunny weather!
also there is a all inclusive resort which has just been refurbed called sensortori in cala tarida, my parents stayed there during our wedding and said it was amazing!
We are looking at getting married in Ibiza in July 2016. We have young children and also around 20 other young children along with 50 adults.
We have looked at Pura Vida and Atzaro beach restaurant but they all want a ridiculous amount of money exclusivity fee just so we can play our own music!
Anyone got any other suggestions that are child friendly and not far from Cala Llonga as we have already paid a deposit on a villa there!
Blessings at Cala Llonga or La Casita?? you can have a blessing at both places, La Casita has a garden with a beautiful area for blessings.
****@*************.*** is a general website, someone will get back to you and point you in he right direction regarding a venue/restaurant.
La Casita, Johanas isn't too good getting back to you by email, but this is the email address:
*********@***.**
My Husband is the foremost English celebrant host on the Island, he has conducted many ceremonies at La Casita and of course in Cala Llonga. his website:
Hey Nikki!! Glad you had a great day! We are getting married there next June so excited!! Did Candi organise your favours and did you have the videographer? I have sooo many questions im not sure about! eeeek! and glad the BBQ was good as we are going to have that too! xxx
Im also getting married at cas mila in August 2015 and wondered if you had to pay the vat if you paid in cash. Just wanting to make sure I take enough to cover lol.
Hi All Ibiza brides to be!! Hope your wedding planning is going well. I am an Elixir bride, get married on the 2nd July and fly out 1 week today!! Just wondering if any of the previous brides can recommend a dry cleaner that does steaming of dresses that's in or near Playa d'en Bossa??
Hi, i was recommened a girl called Zoe who comes to you, but didnt end up needing her myself, but her number is +**** 196. she is on wats app if that helps.
Hi, yes i booked with candi, she was lovely and very good at what she does.
yeah sensortir is quite expensive, there is a cheap hotel called club cala tarida which is right by casa mila or there is one other hotel called insotel cala tarida which will be cheaper that sensotori.
i have some pictures on my fb, the day was amazing, wish i could do it all again! casa mila is a great venue, i doubted in due to the other new beach clubs and wedding venues ibiza has to offer but it has a great atmosphere, cheap drinks unlike other venues, lovely staff and cala tarida has the best weather, it rained some days in parts of the island however cala tarida was always hot! very strange but was very lucky for me! xx
