Yes it is the Sirenis Hotel Aura and it is a Thomson family package. It was brilliant, could not fault it, so near to everything, food amazing and you share access to the water park with the Holiday village next door.
I emailed Candi and asked her for prices based on 8 people as I wasn't sure how many would come out for the wedding so didnt want to overbook. The quote she came back with was based on a personal wedding ceremony and celebration package based on 8 guests for basically the whoe ceremony, wedding planning service, decor, flower bouquets, altar, BBQ, wedding cup cakes, half bottle of wine per person was 1451 euros with an additional 60.50 for additional adults and 20 euros for extra kids. She can tailor make for you so don't go by prices on the ibiza wedding shop website.
As it turned out there was 19 in total - 10 adults and 9 kids, so we just had to pay the extra on top of the quote of 121 euros for 2 more adults and 180 euros for the kids.
Really good value for money when you convert to pounds!!!
Hope this helps. Email Candi with a rough number and see what she says.
Thanks for getting back to me Paula, I will send Candi an email I have emailed a couple of places but they are charging 350euros one way and we are only staying at the Holiday Village which seems to only be about a 15 minute drive away!
Yea your right, only a 10 min cab ride. You can book cabs from Cas Mila. You cant pre-book but when someone is ready to leave they will book them a cab, so if you have 10 cabs one after another that is fine. Good luck with everything and if you need further info, I'm happy to help.
We are having some pretty mad weather here at the moment!
I very much doubt it will be raining by September but you have nothing to worry about anyway - rainy weddings are the best!!
I would actually love to see a rainy wedding at Elixir one day; the guests usually hang around outside and chill out for ages after the first dance and you can't hear the music at all out there. A bit of bad weather would force everyone inside for a proper party and a storm would look great there too :-)
Wondering if anyone could suggest a good wedding DJ? I don't want standard cheesey wedding music but i also don't want all house music. I have a range of ages coming to the wedding so would need someone who can cater for everyone. I just want someone who i can trust to get the vibe of the crowd. I don't really want to give lists and lists of songs, i don't think that ever works well.
I would book as soon as you are able to I booked my wedding at Cas Mila last June 2014 for June 2016 and the dates I originally wanted were already booked so had to go with the week earlier.
I am hoping to book my wedding for Aug/Sept 2017 I have booked to go out in a couple of weeks at the beginning of September to meet with planners and view Cas Mila, Pura Vida and Elixir so will hopefully book one of those when I am out there depending on which one I like the most!
Do you think that I will be okay booking for those dates in 2017 when I go out in Sept? I'm unsure about booking one of them until I have seen them, I was also worried about the non-exclusivity of Cas Mila because I'm only going to be having 25-30 guests but it seems that from what people say it's pretty sectioned off anyway.
Any views/recommnedations on any of these venues for weddings would be great and help me choose when I am out there! So exciting!
If anyone has any pictures of their weddings at these venues also would be great to see!
I have just booked (waiting for confirmation) Cas Mila and Candi (the wedding planner there) said that pretty much the whole of 2016 was booked apart from a few dates. I would probably try and book something now. If you read all the reviews and try and find someone who has been to the venue then they could recommend it to you. Rather than you going to see for yourself. Just so you can book quicker.
Have you been to see Cas Mila or have you just booked it? I am hoping that because I am looking at 2017 and am pretty flexible with dates that we should be okay! Congratulations on booking yours I will keep you posted once I have been and hopefully booked a date!
No I haven't been to see it as I can't afford to go before the wedding but I looked at loads of brilliant reviews and ladies on here talking about it. Plus I know of someone who went and the pictures look amazing! Mine is hopefully booked for 1st August 2017. There are quite a few dates left in August which is good. Xxx
I'm new to hitched and been reading all your exciting wedding plans for ibiza. We have booked Elixir for October 2016 and am super excited. We looked at the venue two years ago and just fell in love with the view and setup.
Anyone else who has booked Elixir what extras have you added on? We haven't received next years upto date "bible" yet so not sure of all the options. At the moment I'm using the mindset of spending money on the food and drink rather than the decor? I think Elixir is beautiful as it is so only needs a few personal touches. Is anyone having/had a mojito bar or upgraded the desserts? Anyone who has had there wedding there was the bruschetta enough after the ceremony?
so exciting for everyone who's getting married in ibiza it's such a magical island x
Just wanted to reassure everyone looking at Cas Mila, we got married there just over two weeks ago and it was honestly just perfect. Candi and her team look after you seamlessly - we didn't notice they were there and any little thing that needed sorted, they were on it. I was quite relaxed about the whole thing and didn't want anything too showy - probably a bit too relaxed as I didn't have any specific instructions for things like where to put the favours, guestbook etc. The team just took all our bits and pieces, presented them all lovely and even threw in some extra bits that matched our colour scheme and theme. When I say they thought of everything... they really did!
We went out a year ahead to have a nosey of the venue and decided its setting was perfect for our low-key beach theme. If you don't get a chance to get out there, I wouldn't worry too much, you won't be disappointed.
Quick question - how long did it take for any other Cas Mila brides take to get their photos back? I'm soo excited!
Thank you that makes me feel good about it. I am still waiting for confirmation of booking from Candi though. I'm getting a bit worried as I emailed her on Saturday and haven't heard anything since. I emailed her again last night so I'm hoping she gets back to me soon.
Can I ask, how much of a deposit did you have to pay and how many guests did you have?
Do they include things like name cards for the tables and little things like that?
We got married last year at cas mila and it was perfect. Candi is amazing.
Also so don't worry about her not getting back to you, she is in peak wedding season and will be dealing with her 2015 brides before moving on to 2016/17. She will get back to you x
I wouldn't worry too much - she is extremely busy during these summer months, sometimes with two weddings on a day! You'll get a reply much quicker off season, just try to stay calm!
in terms of things we took out with us, we made luggage tags for place names and a table name, which the venue put out for us. We also had our table plan printed on cards but nothing to display it on and the venue put this out on a big beautiful white frame, which looked lovely.
They provided parasols for the ceremony and I had made little fans with the order of service on which they put in a pretty basket for people to grab as they made their way to their seats.
We paid a deposit of about €1200 I think. We had originally anticipated about 35 guests but ended up with 56!!!
Ooh Emerald, thank you! i should have checked when i was out there but i was too caught up in all the excitement. Did they email you them? Or send you a Cd?
Ooh thats perfect, thank you! Good way of doing it so we can have a little look before having to wait for postie!
It absolutely flew by and I can't wait for the pictures to try and remember some of the moments.. everyone always says it goes too fast but you don't realise until you are actually there!
I know ? I've still got the wedding blues 4 weeks on lol, double whammy having wedding and holiday blues! It's lovely getting the photos though ?? just in the process of sorting out an album with Anne x
Thank you ladies that makes me feel better. I just can't wait to get it booked. How much were everyone's package if you don't mind me asking? And which package did you get (food wise) xxx
I'm not sure yet, I need to choose from the list she's sent me, I think it'll be between £400-500 because I want one of the big posh looking ones with the perspex covers x
Hi Lozza11, we paid about 8000€ for 44 adults 8 children (inc us) this included all flowers, coach for people getting home from venue, transport to the venue for groomsmen and bridesmaids, lovely Laura, drag show, also we paid extra to have photographer whilst I was getting ready. We had the BBQ package which was lovely as they bring meat platters over to each table. We took the lemon sorbet dessert off the package and put the money towards the candy table. I bought my cake separately from the package too, so we took the cupcakes off the package as well x
