Thank you for this. So it seems you paid extra for a few things. I think I would have to go for the most basic package and hope not a lot of people turn up haha. We have £5000 for the venue. I hope Candi can help us budget somehow. If we found that we had more money than that nearer the time could we add extra things on nearer the time do you think? Xxx
I got married at Elixir this year, you will not be disappointed! Such a beautiful place.
I was also very much of the mindset that I wanted to spend the money on food & drink but we did go for a few extra décor items than planned and the venue looked stunning.
We added extra aperitifs on which went down well and for drinks we ordered some frozen strawberry daiquiris in as they are my favorite and put our card behind the bar with a limit on for cocktails - our guests drank the limit in no time! Then we just went with the free bar.
Food wise there is SO much of it that by dessert time people were stuffed. The food is absolutely amazing and our guests are still talking about it now...
We are currentlyl looking at getting married in Ibiza in 2017. I was wondering if anyone can actually tell me if you can legally get married out there or its just a blessing and get married in a registrar office in the UK first.
I'm quite worried because I emailed Candi (wedding planner from Cas Mila) on Saturday asking her if I can book 1st Aug 2017 as she told me in the previous email that the 5th was already booked. She emailed me a blank email on Sunday (which was odd), so I emailed her again maybe thinking she didn't receive it? But she hasn't replied yet? Before enquiring about booking she emailed me back the same day with any questions I needed.
I know it's August and she's probably busy but if she emailed me back the same day in the past 2 weeks then why would she take so long now I actually want to book?
She will definitely get back to you, I waited weeks for a reply at times. If you're really concerned though you should call her! The number should be on the automated reply x
Thank you, she literally emailed me as soon as i posted this lol. She thought she had emailed me the other day (the one that was blank). New question, she has sent over the bank details etc but as she has international bank account details i cannot send via online banking. Did you go into your bank to send the money over or is there an easier way of doing it?
You can't legally get married in Ibiza unless you are a practising Catholic and want to get married in a church (or maybe not just a church, i'm not 100% on that one). So you would have to legally get married over here before or after the blessing in Ibiza. Hope this helps.
I am getting married next june in ibiza, cannot wait, been over twice this year already please can you help me with finding some transport for my wedding day? I need something to take me to the venue on the day and google just is not being my friend! Any help will be much appreciated!
I am so glad I found this thread! I too am getting married in June
2012 in Ibiza. I am going out the end of may to visit venues that we
like and findout costs etc. We have been to 2 ibiza weddings in the last
3 years as our friends have got married out there and as we visit every
year so it was the ideal place!
Thanks so much for the tips, I will let you all know how I get on when I get out there... it can't come soon enough! I'll make sure I pay attention to the location of the places in respect of transport.
Can anyone that has got married at Elixir in Ibiza help me out!?
We have fallen in love with the venue from what we can see on the website, but we aren't going to be able to go and look at it ourselves...what did you think of it and what was your experience like? We only have a guest list of 19 adults and 9 children and worried it's a too big a venue for small amount of people? Will it look odd?
any good villas/ hotels you would recommend too?
The venue is over budget for us so worried about making the wrong decision but I really have my heart set on it!!!
I'm getting married at elixir next October. I've been to the venue and it's actually smaller than you think. I'm sure it wouldn't look silly with a smaller number if guests. Have you seen there price list? As they have a minimum spend of €7,500 which they base on around 35 people but you can spend the extra money on decoration and dj etc. hopefully some of the other elixir brides can help you out. I'm actually popping to the venue next week as we are out in ibiza x
Hi Kelly!
I am out in ibiza at the moment as am going to view Elixir, Cas Mila and Pura Vida as my 3 preferred venues. I will let you know what Elixir is like once I have seen it later! We are only looking at about 25-30 guests so wont be a big wedding either so will let you know how big/small the venue is!
Does look beautiful on the pictures though! We are hoping to get married in August 2017.
Speak soon
Love Em X x
Hey, Thank you for replying ! :-) we have prices etc. that's another thing we are discussing because we will have to pay for 30 people even though we will only have 19 adults attending - and then there's the minimum spend too so the difference between the two we can make up with anything food or drink related but unfortunately not dj etc. will work out very expensive for what it is because we have such a small guest list! Lots to think about :/
my special day at elixir is sadly all over but I those I'd put those who are booked there minds to rest...it's amazing!!
we had 60 people there and I think that was just right, the more the merrier but in the evening you find a lot of people mill around outside.
I used smack for my hair & make up who were fab, I completely changed my mind between trial and the day and they were absolutely lovely..plus my make up looked amazing...totally worth the money. They done my bridesmaids hair too & done exactly as I asked.
we had Ivan from Ibiza wedding shop play the sax during aperitifs who was great, I was worried about him having to be inside but actually it worked perfectly and dj steve for the evening who played exactly what we wanted and took loads of requests!
Una & alex coordinated the day and they done a fantastic job really made sure it all ran smoothly & treated us like royalty!
lastly...the food...AMAZING!! Everyone is still talking about it now! We didn't go for extra desserts & we didn't need to, the cake hardly got touched.
but anyway, seriously it was the best ever & totally worth every penny!
Hey everyone! i am just starting to plan my wedding in ibiza 2017. Initially we wanted it to be in a villa however after reading this post I am swaying towards cas mila instead! I have emailed Candi to try and get an idea of cost however with it being sept, she is obviously very busy with weddings! Therefore I wonder if anyone here would be kind enough to share their quotes? i know prices will vary depending on the amount of people. We are looking to have between 50-60 guests, and up to 10 children between 3 and 5 years old. I'm keen to know the price of extras to the package offered by Candi, such as the love letters in light, a small cake added to the cupcakes, changing the lemon sorbet desert to a sweets/candy table, lovely laura to play (I am especially keen to know how much this is and for how long she plays), welcome drink/ cocktail, open bar (how much and how many hours)? Sorry I know that is a lot of question! It's just that we are going to ibiza in 2 weeks and I'm not sure if Candi will have had chance to get back to me before then and I was hoping to know if we could afford everything we want, before we take time out of our family holiday to visit it. Oh and has anyone used kids in ibiza for entertainment for the little ones? If so could you share how much they were please? Thanks for you help, advise and time in advance! Much love, Jade x
I am planning for 2017 too, but in Pura Vida - I got a quote for Lovely Laura and her DJ for €2,000 for 2 hours. But that was at 2016 prices as they hadn't finalised 2017 yet. I'd be interested to know if anyone got her for cheaper!
oh fab. What month are you thinking?! We also looked at Pura Vida! Is looks beautiful! Do you mind me asking how much you have been quoted for there? That's another place I have sent an email to.
Wow lovely Laura is expensive! I would really like her though! Is it possible to have her without the dj?
I am looking at 30th June. Pura Vida is quite expensive but I find you get a lot for your money. They sent me a brochure that had various different prices in it. The ceremony was €1650 and chairs etc were included in that. The meal starts at €140 per person but included in that is welcome drinks, aperitifs and 1 hour drinks after the ceremony, unlimited drinks during the meal (which is 3 courses) and two hours free bar after the meal. Table decor etc was also included in this price.
I also loved the extras that Pura Vida offer (mini train etc) but I suppose you can organise them for other venues too!
I didn't ask about Laura minus DJ - but I presume she can be. I think it is something we are going to try and find the money for as we love her!
I love lovely Laura and would love her at our wedding although I've heard sometimes she can cancel if a big gig comes up which put me off a bit I've been looking at http://www.anastasia-mcqueen.com/saxophone-show.html as an alternative x
In the brochure Pura Vida sent me they have an option of a mini train that brings your guests to Pura Vida from wherever they're staying. I presume everyone will have to be in one central location but i thought it was a bit of fun for your guests!
Can I ask if you have exclusivity of Pura Vida? That price is a lot cheaper than Pura Vida's brochure!
I am back from Ibiza now but have booked Elixir for August 2017! So happy the venue was perfect for what we wanted!
To those looking at it, smaller guest lists would be fine the place is smaller that you think - not too small but I don't think small groups would be lost and when I spoke to them there they said they have weddings of 18/19 anyway it just depends if you are prepared to spend the minimum amount and then top it up with extra food and drinks? It is absolutely beautiful though!! I'm so excited!!! We are having 30 adult guests.
Pura Vida and Cas Mila are also both lovely it just depends on personal taste I think getting married at any of them would be amazing! You can have exclusivity at Pura Vida and Cas Mila (you just pay extra) I think it is worth it though!
In terms of places to stay if you are having Elixir or Cas Mila they are near to Cala Tarida which is lovely and only a 10min drive to San Antonio Bay (Port D'es Torrent and Cala De Bou) and with Pura Vida you would probably look at Santa Eulalia which is also lovely! There are so many nice hotels and villas around all of the areas.
We are in Ibiza now although I have already booked Elixir. Just wanted to say we are staying at a really lovely 3 bedroom apartment which is a five minute walk to cas mila and not far from Elixir. I will post details once I'm back as have been really impressed with the quality and it didn't cost a fortune. X
