I'm getting married at Cas Mila in august 2017. We have chosen the 6:30-2am blessing as the other option is 12pm-5pm. The night one is probably the most popular one and we'll get to watch the sunset too! Have you thought about where you are staying? We've bee looking at the holiday village as it's near Cas Mila but it's quite pricey, especially in August.
I am getting married this June in Ibiza and my wedding starts at 4pm and ceremony at 4.30pm, its not really that hot but it depends what you are used to weather wise i have been to other weddings in ibiza that started around the same time or earlier - 3.30pm.
16 months is more then enough time to plan a wedding, i have had a lot less, the only thing i would say is get in the season before to book the people you really want and get the big things out the way. In between seasons, they do go pretty quiet so do not worry if they take a few weeks to get back to you.
Thanks for all the advice everyone I am so excited and I've not even booked anything yet. I like the idea of the 6pm - 2am but what is everyone's plans before 6pm? I don't particularly like the idea of having to wait around all day to get married. The excitement and nerves will all be too much lol
for those saying you are getting married at 3/4pm ish - what venue are you getting married at?
Victorialeanne12 - love the fact you are going to Space in your wedding outfits! What date is your wedding? I was trying to dinf the closing date for Space this year but couldn't find it online.
Are all you brides staying in hotels planning on getting ready in your hotel rooms? I'm worried about lack of space as I want my bridesmaids to get ready with me, and the room getting too hot.
I've booked Ibizaceremony for the blessing as they seem to be the most popular - they were really helpful and the booking process was easy!
Chanelleb90 it's the 2nd October. I'm still undecided with the celebrant our videographers partner is now doing them and she's really spiritual so I think I might go with her x
Congratulations on your engagement! I am getting married in August 2017 at Elixir and our ceremony is 4pm then the wedding goes on until about midnight I am really excited!
16 months is plenty of time, I haven't done much else apart from book the venue and a photographer, am looking at blessers at the moment.
I think the ceremony's are done later due to the weather and then getting the sunset which will be beautiful for photo's, I am planning on having a lovely relaxed morning sunbathing and then just enjoying all the wedding day preparations in the afternoon before the ceremony!
Good luck with the planning and enjoy it! I went out last September to view 3 venues Cas Mila, Elixir and Pura Vida and am going out again this October for a menu tasting at Elixir but major decisions and organisation wont start until later this year anyway so you have plenty of time!
If there are any other Elixir brides what hotels/accommodation would you recommend for myself and guests?
Does anyone have and feedback on Smack Ibiza for hair and make up? I am thinking of booking them but I'm worried about using people I don't know, and not liking the hair/make up on the day!
I am using smack for mine in June, Corina has been completely helpful and stayed in contact since the booking, they ask you to send photos of what you want to them. They are really well rated on the island and do a lot of high profile clients. I am having a trial with them 4 days before my wedding where they trial different options so i can see what i prefer.
I'm also getting married at Cas Mila in June, I went to view all the venues and this one is so beautiful! I am having smack for my make up as they are so well known and their work looks fab and Im having my trial 4 days before the wedding! xx
I got married last June at Elixir and used SMACK for my hair and make-up - they were absolutely wonderful and I loved my hair and make up. I had a trial with them 3 days before where Sara & Nicola made some suggestions based on what I had asked for and we tried it out and it was perfect. There airbrush foundation is perfect for the heat! You are in safe hands girls
Chanelle my friend is moving to Ibiza in May and is a hair and makeup artist and a really good one she will be working out in Ibiza. Her Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/LaurenBuckleyMakeup/
I am getting married at Elixir next August (2017) where are you staying or suggesting as accommodation for guests that is nearby? I have a few places I'm looking at but just wondered if you had found any good ones?
My family are split between west coast (sensatori - good for families and 5star)
east coast - st. eulalia - Aguas Ibiza and ME
and Talamancas - hotel Argos and Hotel Lux
Hope this helps - p.s when we went to ibiza last year, we asked a few hotels if they could do a discount for bulk booking, we didn't use this in the end, but they all agreed, so this may be something you wish to do if you are looking to keep costs down.
does anyone have any contact details for experimental beach club? I've emailed 2 seperate addresses and not had a reply. Any contact details or even information would be great? Or anyone else viewed the venue or booked it?
I too am getting married At Cas Mila in June...under 16 weeks to go now!!!!?
We, and most of our guests are staying at the Sirenis hotel club aura. It's in port d'es torrent and only 10-15 min taxi ride away. We have a few families coming out for the wedding who are making it their annual holiday so this seemed the best option. Chanelleb I am also a little worried about everyone getting ready together. Hotel rooms are never very big at the best of times but I would love us all to be together....if anyone has any experience of this or alternative ideas I'd really appreciate it!
We are having a 6.30pm wedding, any earlier and I think I'd struggle in my dress, and it'd be too much for the little bridesmaids too so, I intend on having a very relaxing morning by the pool and then a leisurely afternoon getting ready with my maids!
Kinga is coming to my hotel to do our hair for us, she is Toni and guy trained which is what I'm used to so it made me feel at ease about using someone I'd never met. We are having a trial 5days before and I've got a trail aver here next week so I can send over lots of photos to her!
I've let the planners do a lot of the work for me...I don't deal with stress very well and I've already had a few glitches along the way (including the best man bringing his wedding forward to the date of my hen do ?) So this ensured I had a calm(ish) build up to the wedding, it's the party back here afterwards that's caused the most stress ?
I'm off to get the bridesmaid dresses later this afternoon ? Has anyone thought about shoes? They all need to wear at least something because of travelling to and from the venue.I originally thought fancy flip flops would be ok but then my dress designer said I should really have at least a wedge to make me hold myself better....so if I'm wearing a wedge I need the bridesmaids in something similar ?
Wow Sophia thank you so much for sharing, your wedding photos look stunning!
Mitteltobe - I have been looking at hotels with big rooms over the weekend and have found the Sundown Ibiza they have big rooms and no minimum night stay so I think I am going to book there biggest room and stay the night before the big day with my MOH and have the rest of the wedding party join me the next day.
Any Ibiza brides that got married at 16:30, was you uncomfortable at all in your dresses with the heat? x
Hi Sophia,
Your photos look amazing!!
Thank you for the info- if you could kindly send me the brochure for experimental beach that would be fab. My email is ************@*******.*** much appreciated
I love the look of cas Mila but just don't like the idea of getting married so late which is such a shame as I love everything else about it.
I am getting married at Cas Mila next August and I have been looking for hotels to book (packages as we have 2 children). We have ruled out holiday village (which looks amazing!), sensatori and sirenis as these are too expensive for us. Can anyone recommend any nice hotels (maximum for 2 weeks £3500 for a family of 4). We have been looking quite close to the venue but I'm wondering if we can go further afield? I'm just worried about how I would get to the venue if we are so far away?
I am getting married at Cas Mila in July this year and our group is staying at the Club Bahamas in Playa Den Bossa. It's about 30 minutes away which I think is fine. We are putting on a bus for our guests.
I am wondering what you have decided re footwear? I have my bridesmaids in a small heel, maybe 3" and I have a 4" peep toe shoe. I am only 5 1" and really need some height so I'm thinking of a wedge flip flop for beach photos. Heels would probably sink into the sand, what do you think?
We are planning our wedding in Ibiza next year however we really don't know which route to go. We love the Cas Mila in Cala Tarida but don't know whether to go through Thomsons or another way?
We have a lot of guests (approx 70) wanting to attend and really don't know the best way.
Cant book anything through Thomsons etc until April as 2017 packages are not available yet and some people are getting twitchy with plans etc.
Can anyone advise how they have gone about it and what they would recommend?
Ideally want to keep costs down as much as possible! And where people are staying we would like to have as many guests as possible in the same resort and make it a large fun family holiday?
Cas Mila bride 2016 I've got a wedge to wear...got a beautiful straw coloured base with Tbar strap covered in Ivory stones. My bridesmaids have silver wedge flip flops but I believe everyone is taking flip flops to change into for dancing!
Kelly, I'm getting married at Cas Mila in 10 weeks. We contacted Ibizaweddingshop as soon as we decided to marry there (before we'd even got engaged!) to secure a date. We then started telling people about the area and the date. We visited late last year to get an idea of accommodation and built a wedding website where we could let people know everything.
We then booked our flights and hotel (sirenis aura hotel all inc) through Thomson's and again, gave everyone the details. We made sure family all booked in with us and have left our friends to sort themselves out. Some are coming to our hotel just for a weekend, others are staying at club Cala tarida to be within walking distance of the venue. Some couples are looking for a quiet weekend away and have sorted their own places to stay!
We are offering transport in the form of a coach from our hotel.
im pretty sure Thomson use Ibizaweddingshop for the wedding planning and I also don't know that the prices differ too much. Take a look at the website and send them a message. They're really helpful (or I'm happy to send you my info if you let me know you email address)
