Planning an elopement in Italy

Hello everyone 😀


We are hoping to arrange an elopement in Ravello for September/October 2023.
It would be a civil ceremony for just the two of us, no guests. We’d like something really low key - possibly a late afternoon wedding, followed by a nice dinner and drinks.
We’d like to stay somewhere really nice, seeing as it’s our wedding! But other than that, everything else should be low-key.
Does anyone have any wedding planner suggestions or experience in arranging something like this?
I’ve contacted a couple of wedding planners online who have quoted 15-20k for this! We were hoping to spend around 4K - is this totally unrealistic?!

    I’d say £15-£20K is a lot for a civil ceremony elopement even if it is in Ravello! It’s a stunning place by the way. Are the wedding planners you have researched located in Italy or in the UK? Unfortunately, I can’t help much with this but hopefully this gets figured out for you, the paperwork for marrying in another country is stressful but worth it!

    Hi. I’m planning my own wedding in Italy but I very familiar with the Lake Garda area. Firstly I’d suggest looking for Italy bride groups on Facebook. So much knowledge is shared there. Secondly, yes I think this is achievable. Use Instagram, follow wedding planners for your area that you have contacted and stalk their vendors. You will probably have to do a lot yourself but you’ll stick to your budget. I hope this helps. Xx

    Hi Lucy,

    Congratulation on your engagement.

    Ravello is a stunning location and the Amalfi Coast in general is not the cheapest option, neither for an elopement.

    The budget given is very realistic, considering the area selected. You may be able to spend less, but it's very difficoult you can stay within the 4K.
