Plus size drama! Please please please help!

Miss Belle, 6 January, 2014 at 19:13 Posted on Planning 0 7

Ok ladies, I really need some help! I am a plus size (size 22) and I get married 1st March 2014! I have had MAJOR trouble finding a cover up for my size ?

I found one on lightinthebox.com that I was able to order in a size 22 but when it arrived, although it was brilliant quality! They just didn't make it the size they claimed it was & it's far too small ? They now only make fur jackets in one size (TOO SMALL) even though up to last month (when I ordered mine) there was a wide selection in all sizes including plus size.

I am now stuck with under 2 months to go until my wedding and I don't know what to do. I really dislike the satin cover ups, they look awful on me and wraps just keep falling off on my shoulders when I move.

This is what I ordered and this is the sort of thing I would like. Does anyone have any idea where or how I could find something like this to fit me at a size 22?

I'm so upset now, I had no idea it would be so hard to get a pretty plus size fur wedding jacket! I was able to find a beautiful dress with no drama and I'm so sad that all the 1000s of fur coverups I can find are so small ? I'm facing the possibility I could end up in a huge satin cover up I hate that will totally ruin my beautiful dress so please help if you can ladies!

Have you had a look at Etsy?

I have just seen this one...

    £25 and free delivery ;-)

I know it isn't a jacket as such but at least it is fur not satin?

Or this one comes in plus size as well?

£25 and £15 delivery but the seller has got really good feedback ;-)

Thank You for the options ladies! They are cute but I should have said the reason for me wanting a jacket like the one I chose was because of the long sleeves. I'm 1st March and it's going to be very chilly..... I was looking for something that would keep my arms warm but also not cover up the whole top half of my beautiful dress. I don't think I'm going to be be to get anything..... I think I'm going to have to get a long poncho style one like the first one miss pickle found.

I really am so upset though, it just seems such a shame that I will be covering up all the beautiful detail on my dress ? The ones that just cover the tops of the arms are just going to be to cold, I really do need my arms and top of shoulders to be covered.

What about this one on Amazon , lots of sizes but would need to work out what a 22 is from these. Worth a look :-)

Hello date twin, I'm getting wed 1st march too!

I'm size 24 and completely understand, they have some lovely stuff on lightin the box but they are sooo small!

In the end I opted to have sleeves added to my dress because I couldn't find anything suitable. I'm having a fur shawl too.

Sorry I can't be of more help

    X

I've got one if you'd like it? It was from eBay originally. I can post a pic in the morning but would be next week before I'd be able to get it for you as it's at my mum's?
