Pocket fold invites

DerbyshireBride, 26 January, 2014 at 16:13 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone might be able to help me out a bit with invite questions.

i want to make my own pocketfold invites and I've heard people mention PDA card and craft and looking on their website it looks like a good options. However, everything seems to be priced up separately and I have no idea what size stuff I need to put it all together! I can work out the main outside structure but then don't know what sized inserts to get to give it that structured look and what to do about envelopes.

I'm not very crafty as you can probably tell so apologies if this sounds a bit pathetic but if anyone has made their own and can give me a bit if an idiots guide to what I need, I'd be very grateful :-) x

    Hi Derbyshire Bride,

I am having pocket fold invites too.... as a matter of fact I'm printing them as we speak!

I ordered kits from a lady from ebay. Her name is paperraininvites. I contacted her and then ordered mine without going through ebay.

They consist of the pockets, seals and the card. She'll send you templates which you download and add your own text. They are pretty simple to do. They work about £1.34 each (including delivery) but that is without ink. Plus we had to buy another printer as ours wouldn't print on the thick card.

I hope this helps! If you need anymore info you can message me and I can see what I can do!

    Love another Derbyshire bride! :-)

Hi, my pocketfolds were 150x150, the inserts were 140x140, 140x120 and 140x100. We had loads of trouble getting them printed so just bought A4 card, printed on that, then cut it down to size. I think it ended up a bit cheaper that way too Smiley smile

We have ordered the materials for our pocketfold invites from www.pocketfoldinvites.co.uk

They have templates you can download to match the size of the invitations they stock : )

I just printed the inserts out on A4 as well and already had a guillotine to cut them out with. I just used tables in Word to make sure the boxes were the right size.

    Hi,

I too have been in touch with PDA, they seem really good. I have no clue regarding sizes but have called and spoken to them and ordered a sample of the size I thought which came really quickly. I have also been able to send them my wording which they put onto a template to advise me of what size they thought worked best.

If you do want to use them give them a call they are really helpful.
