Polaroid 600 camera - film out of date

Flowerfairy, 9 July, 2010 at 18:03 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hi All,

Is anyone using a polaroid camera for their guest book?

I've found a cheap camera on an auction site but all the film is out of date (around 06/2009) - would you risk buying this or do you think the photos won't come out?

Thanks

I would say that the film would in most cases be OK. It depends more on how it's been stored. If it's been in a cool/ normal house atmosphere then it should be fine but if it's been stored in a very warm place then give it a miss.

To be honest if you did buy it I would test it before using it at the wedding.

It should come out - though the results can vary. There is a Flickr group of expired Polaroid film results that may be of interest.

Impossible have just started making Polaroid film again.
