Easier to walk in but not sure if it makes the dress too structured for my liking.

I wore a hoop with mine, just an a-line style one as my dress had a princess style skirt, it helped me to walk as my shoes didn't get caught on it and it also helped to keep the fullness in my skirt. I'd definitely recommend one!

I want to wear one with mine. I haven't got it yet though.

I've got a fishtail dress with tiered layers at the bottom. I'd like a hoop to give the bottom tiers more shape and also make it easier to walk.

I don't know whether a hoop or proofy petticoat would be best though.
