Post wedding party

Julie48, 15 of September of 2016 at 21:18 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hi girls

We are having a very small mid week wedding and only inviting close family and friends. We are planning a post wedding celebration a couple of weeks after the wedding but I need some help with the invite wording.

Our wedding invites are from the mummy and daddy got married range and we would like to continue this theme but we're struggling with the wording. So far we have come up with

Xxx (our daughters name) requests the pleasure of

Xxx

to celebrate the recent marriage of

Her mummy

Julie

And

Her daddy

Paul

On xxx at xxx

What do you think? Is it OK will guests understand that we are already married?

Thanks

Jx

    Hey Julie,

Similar situation here but we are having a small ceremony with immediately family during the day with a big party in the evening.

Thinking of adding the following wording to the end of ours:

"The couple will be joined in marriage in a private ceremony during the day"

I think people would understand but if you want to be sure you could say "at a party to celebrate the recent marriage of" I think that should ensure everyone knows they aren't coming to an actual wedding. ?
