Poxy people phoning at 3 am. 01536 414242 - feel free to call this number and yell at them

Ok, so they don't know we're 6 hours behind. But even so.

It's now 3.54 and it's the 2nd time this number has called me. The first at 3 am.

Thankfully Mr P has slept through it, but I haven't ?

They are a cold-calling agency by all accounts. Find numbers of people advertising (I'm advertising in the UK) and then cold-call. But all I'm getting is a dead line when I pick up.

Try to ring back and it's engaged.

I'm so ? and now very ?

Please feel free to call at your leisure and yell at them if you get through.

Thanks

In the meantime I'm going back to bed. In a grump.

As you were!

Thanks PE. I'm wide awake now. Bastards ?

Could really do without this as I have a full day ahead of me tomorrow. So I need to go back to sleep, only now I'm awake I doubt I will. As I've been up an hour already there is little chance. Bastards.

I know it's a cold calling company as they did the same yesterday, only at 6 am. And then on and off during the day. Bastards. Persistent bastards at that.

Google isn't giving me a whole lot of information on them other than the fact they're an agency. If I could get through they'd regret it!

It's a Kettering number which is only 20 minutes up the road. Shall I go and tell them to stop calling you, or would you rather I just punched them in the nose?

Please take Chicken with you so you can punch them, and he can kick the crap out of them.

    Thank you!

Nope, couldn't go back to sleep.

And now everyone is up .. Mr P, and the cats (we put them to bed at night in the utility room)

Anyone tried that number? Does anyone answer? All I get is engaged.

    Aww bless you PE.

This is the 2nd cold-calling company to do this to us (read ME as Mr P doesn't wake up!)

The first one was a London number, and that went on for weeks. But they seem to have stopped, but this one has taken over.

It's pointless. They ring, but when I pick up the line is dead. And then when I try to call back to give them a piece of my mind, the line is engaged.

I've registered our UK numbers (internet phones, Vonage and Pacatel) with the TPS service, but it's not kicked in yet. Besides, I don't know if it will work anyway, but worth trying. Just to get an undisturbed night's sleep!

One thing having to deal with my husband's snoring and fidgeting. Quite another dealing with these bastards. I didn't marry them!

Just a thought........... how about telling your family that if they need to contact you urgently when they know you'll be in bed, to ring your mobile and then take your landline off the hook before you go to bed ?

Family aren't a problem. They don't ring at stupid hours. It's the damned cold-calling companies who don't take note of the 'please call after 1 pm' in the adverts.

That's what I mean. Obviously your family know not to contact you between X and X because of the time difference. If they did need to contact you in an emergency - because that is the only time they would call between X and X - then ask them to use your mobile number. That way you can take your phone off the hook safe in the knowledge that should your family need to contact you, they can still get you. At least you will be able to get some decent shut eye. ?
