Present for H2B

Pinki Hels, 6 April, 2011 at 08:57 Posted on Planning 0 5

Morning,

There may be a thread floating around somewhere so apologises in advance if that is the case....

But I was just wondering do/did you get you H2B a present for the wedding - I have seen cards that are for the H2B but I wouldnt have a clue what would be a nice wedding gift.

Has anyone else bought them a gift - if so some ideas please.

Thank you in advance xXx

Do you have to buy H2B a gift? We have spent so much on the wedding and have got hardly anything left on our bank account!! We're not doing any gifts and agreed that already while ago. I may buy him a card to open in the morning of our wedding.

I think there is a thread on this somewhere but no idea where?! I am feeling the same as you, no idea what to get and I also don't want to spend too much as the wedding and honeymoon is costing enough and so are the wedding rings which I feel are a wedding gift in their own way. My OH is a massive rugby fan so was going to contact Warrington Wolves and see if they can write him a letter, sign him a top or something but as for another gift I have heard a watch is tradition.....well I got him a watch years ago that he never wears and the only watch he really wants is a Rado watch which cost about £2000 - no chance!!! So maybe going to get something between us for our house (hoping to move soon after the wedding) as we aren't that bothered about receiving a big gift on the day, he will prob get me a pandora charm or something. What matters to me most is that he gets me a card or writes a letter for me to read on the day and have a good blub at haha!!

Sorry, this message seems to have turned into an essay!!!?

My OHs main pressie is going to be a watch, I think this one: https://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/emporio-armani-gents-steel-bracelet-watch/p/17870727 which I a going to get engraved with "There isn't a second I won't love you".

I've also made my own version of the Oh so cherished beautiful grooms journal, got him groom socks, new undies, aftershave, a handwritten letter, a little joke book about marriage, his fave drink for the wedding morning, his fave cerials etc in a kind of "gift hamper" feel.

There are loads of old posts on this too if you fancy a peek:

My H2B and i decided we have spent so much on the wedding and honeymoon that we are not going to do presents, however we both would love a dog, so we are going to get one after our wedding and that is our present to each other!

I love the idea of the hamper, i think its the little things that are more thoughful! Smiley smile

I make these little bespoke map heart pics that quite a few of the ladies off Hitched have purchased from me.

You could have the heart with your honeymoon place on or another place that means something to you. I have even done one recently for another lady with a picture of the church they are getting married in.

They can be personalised with a message of your choice too.
