Printed.com

samidolls, 1 December, 2014 at 22:50 Posted on Planning 0 8

We are designing our own invites as H2B works in graphic design it seems silly not to!

We have been looking for somewhere to have our designs printed, and I finally found printed.com that seems to do all the sizes we want for not too much money (£15 for 30 invites!!)

So just wondering if anybody has any experience with them?

I've used them and really liked the quality of some of their stuff.

I used them, the finished quality was good but they made a couple of mistakes on the order so had to reprint, then managed to courier over the wrong stuff so took a while to actually get the bits! However, like I say the quality was good and they were affordable!

I'm a graphic designer too and planning to do my own invites. I'm intending to use printed.com as I've used them quite a few times before for my own design work (business cards etc) and found them to be of decent quality for the price. Plus I've seen in their wedding collection they have some gorgeous paper stock (I'm thinking of going for pearlescent with mine).

Hiya, I've been looking at them too, but I'm a total amateur so can anyone advise what kind of software I need to design my own invites? If it is too specialist I won't bother, but I have spent hours trawling etsy and stationary websites and I'm obviously too fussy!

I used printed.com and they were fantastic, great quality, really think luxury feeling paper, prices were much lower than vistaprint and the choice of paper was lovely. You can order a free sample pack with all of the different papers so you can get a good idea of the quality and they have little printed swatches on the back showing how different colours print of the style of paper.

I am a complete amateur too, I just used microsoft publisher for the design and I bought a few downloadable clip arts from etsy and downloaded a few free fonts online, then saved the document as a PDF.

If you dont have publisher, i'm sure you could use microsoft word to create your design, just make sure you set the page to the right size

I used printed.com for a lot of my wedding stationery and was very impressed with the quality ;-)

I also designed my items in microsoft publisher and then saved the files as PDFs to upload them to the website.

Thanks for all the advice! Looks like we will definitely be using printed.com!

I've just ordered a sample pack, so now we just have to finish designing all the invites!

Yes they were fantastic. Really helpful. My OH is in IT but found their site quite confusing but they could not be more helpful on the phone. They also sent us loads of samples of their stuff. We were really pleased with the result and we are getting the order of service printed by them this week.
