Processional

Monica, 1 of January of 2023 at 09:55 Posted on Etiquette and Advice 0 2
I personally don’t like the idea of being walked down the aisle and given away to my fiancé, so we had all agreed to do the processional in couples, which worked fine because everyone in the wedding party was part of a couple. But now the best man has broken up with a bridesmaid so that bridesmaid is no longer part of the wedding. So either we need to go back to traditional processional, or have the best man (my brother) walk with my mum, and my dad walk with the flower girl (my daughter). The latter would be my preference but is it too weird?

Do whatever works for you, don’t worry at all about if things look weird.

My best friend is walking my mum down the aisle, then my sister with her daughter, and everyone else (including me) will be on their own. If anyone does think it’s weird then I’m willing to bet they won’t say anything to me on the day!

I think that sounds like a lovely idea to have your mum and brother and dad and daughter- don’t worry about what other people think! If it’s the option you prefer then go for it!
