Random question about tight and knickers....

Surely everyone puts knickers on first?

Ewww! Knickers, of course. Wearing your tights next to your skin would be uber-uncomfortable, if not slightly grim.

Knickers first - ALWAYS!

Pants first, however..... I have known people put another pair of pants over their tights to keep them from getting 'saggy'.

Well that is what I thought but two people I was talking to said they put their knickers on over their tights to stop them falling down. I was just wondering if I had been approaching it all wrong all this time

ETA That the second pair to stop them getting saggy would make sense but surely you would end up with a massive bum bulge? not that any extra bulge would even be noticeable in my case.

Knickers first. I can't see the point of knickers over the top.

It's likely that they will also be wearing knickers under the tights. I used to wear knickers over my tights to stop them falling down when I was little, but I would always have a pair on underneath aswell.

Urgh, tights first? Surely you'd get an itchy crotch.

My mum always wore knickers over her suspender belt so she didn't have to undo the belt to pee. But tights.........definitely knickers first.

Knickers first for me, then tights and then another pair of knickers to hold the tights up. Does that make me strange?

Definatley knickers first! Wouldn't the second pair of knickers give you a serious VPL?

not in my world, (i would go for a g string then tights, then a bigger thong to hold the whole lot up). I'm 5ft 7ish so tights tend to work their way down to my knees through out the day/evening.*

Knickers first!? at wearing tights first. They must have meant knickers-tights-knickers. Not very glam though is it!

Can you imagine the chaffing of the seam if you wear tights underneath? Knickers every time!

Me too. And if my Dad dressed me he used to put my shirt on then for some reason my skirt over my head. So I was well and truely tucked in. I guess I should be relieved he didn't know the correct way to put a skirt on!!

Bless him but what an odd comment. Why would it be weird for a father to know how a skirt is worn? ?

I mean in a kind of he is used to wearing them way. I have thus far been spared of the father in old age cross dressing shocker.

Speaking of uncomfortable - tights before knickers? Ewww. Tights tend to be made of man-made unbreathable fabrics - if that's right next to your skin you'd get very unpleasant throughout the day. You'd probably end up with bad cases of thrush and UTIs and all sorts...

Tights are horrible. They fall down and they're so uncomfortable. What's wrong with holdups?

I tried hold ups, it was like wearing thick elastic bands at the top of my thighs - not nice!

They don't work if you have chubby thighs as they roll down. And if you just fix them lower on your leg where it's narrower - say just above your knee - they show with some skirts, and you get a cold draught round your nethers.

Plus if you use body lotion (or in my case, bio oil to prevent stretch marks in pregnancy) the silicon strip doesn't adhere to your skin so they fall down.

Did anyone ever have those long socks with individual toes - like long gloves for feet? (mainly multi coloured!)

I remember I used to have a nightmare with them, as my little toes never felt comfy!

I have socks with toes, they are essential in our house in this weather (H has some too but I didn't tell you that)

If your tights fall down, you're either buying cheap crappy tights or wearing a size too small.

Thank you GokM ? So, if I ever need to wear tights I shall go for super mamoth sized with knickers underneath and definitely not over the top and I shall get my Mum to shake me into them. Job done!

I buy tights that have a crotch (I hate that word) in them and I don't wear knickers! As the tights have a crotch they don't have a seam.

I'd forgotten about them! My mum bought me a pair for my 21st as I would have had VPL otherwise but haven't tights like them again.

I agree that crotch is a ? word.
