jaz, 2 February, 2009 at 10:07 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 8

After much searching and help from lovely hitchers I found a dress I love but unfortunately fear I need some suck shorts or pants things for my thighs/tummy (I'm going to try and buy a size up in the dress too and return one of them though am being stupid and can't face buying a dress in a size I've never been before ?)

I got some from Primark for 拢2 and they are fab (once I pour myself into them ?) I would even go so far as saying that they are better than the M+S ones that I paid about 拢12 for.

Do they do thighs and tummy? They the roll down? I was in primark yesterday and thought about looking then thought it would be a false ecomony so didn't. Typical!!

I paid 拢35 for spanx as i thought they would be great but have to say for the money they are not worth it and i've had one's from Primark which are just as good.

Yes, I've got the thighs and tummy one. I actually thought that too but bought them anyway. it's actually the M+S ones which roll down and do nothing for me.

I've got Spanx. They're from mid thigh to just below my boob. Weirdly the black one is brilliant but the natural colour one was rolling down at the top. This may have been down to the amount of dancing I was doing at that time though.

Which dress did you go for?

Clare I spotted this while out shopping http://www.minuet-petite.co.uk/product.php?cat=Dresses&id=16620008 though now am a bit stumped for shoes 馃槅 If someone could tell me their clothes are small fitting that would help with me bringing myself to wear a bigger size 馃槃)

For the sucky pants do you go for your normal size or smaller in the hope they suck you in more/bigger so they are more comfortable? I had sucky in pants a while ago and can't remember where I got them but seem to have lost them!

I have these too and they make a small difference but not much. I think I should have gone for a smaller size, but that would have meant getting the very smallest size, and I'm a 10-12 so hardly skeletal! As a result I've never bothered wearing them.

I wouldn't sue them to fit into a too-small dress though - I think one would end up looking like an overstuffed sausage draped in proscuitto.

Love the dress. It would go perfectly with my new Loubs!! ?

I went for the Spax that they recomended for my size and they just smooth everything out. I haven't worn them with a tight fitting dress though.

Jaz - buy the size that fits you - it doesn't matter what the number says. Cut the label out if you're that upset about it. ?

I'm ordering the bigger one online now and will definitely be cutting the label out if it fits better ?

I did think of your shoes [sad icon] but will probably go with some from priceless while it's still open!
