Red shoes - help!

EmmaIsEngaged, 25 May, 2013 at 21:21 Posted on Planning 0 11

I need your help please! I'm looking for shoes that are:

- bright red
- satin or silk
- low/mid heel
- simple and elegant (e.g. plain court shoes)
- available in a UK size 8 (EU size 42)
- preferably under £100 (but I'd probably go above this if I had to!)

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you!

Not sure if these are any good as they might be too high. At least being high street, you can go & try them on.

    Thanks both!

I like the Barratts ones as they're not too high. On the website they're out of stock in a size 8, and the shops don't usually have many 8s, so I'd be lucky to find some, but it might be worth a try...

I usually have a really hard time shoe shopping - I'm quite picky and if I do find shoes I like, 9 times out of 10 they don't have my size!

    Anything on here? https://www.rainbowclub.co.uk/wedding-shoes

They're dyeable - my MoH had some from here which she then had dyed red.

Thanks, yes I looked at Rainbow Club. I actually got the Shiraz ones dyed, but they didn't look great - the dye was darker around the pleats and they looked a bit grubby. The shoes were also a bit tight around the toes - it's annoying that Rainbow Club do all the half sizes apart from 8.5, which is the one I need! Still, I'm thinking about trying Shelly in a size 8 - they're a wider fit so they might be more comfy. And they're plain so they might dye better, although it's a risk because you can't return them after they've been dyed!

This website lets you design the whole shoe, heel height, material, bows etc. They'd be £149, but you'd get EXACTLY what you want.

Have u tried marissota? I got wide feet and usually take a eee fit.. if you wana have flat ballerinas for the night then go to Tesco's, I got a lovely pair of red ones in a wide fit- I take a 9/10 but the 8 fit fine and they were a bargain @ £7 pounds - there's a pair of peep toe in red on simply be in plain red for £20 not sure if that's what your looking for

I love Shoes of Prey! The shoe designer is addictive. I got some great shoes from there but they didn't fit brilliantly and they weren't v comfy (with peep toes and high heels I guess they were never going to be!) so I don't think they were worth the price, unfortunately. It's a shame, because being able to design your own shoes is amazing! My shoes were silver glitter peep toe platforms with red heel, platform and insole - they were fabulous although I had to change into my flats after a few hours sadly!

Definately look in Debenhams, I have some lovely size 8, bright red, mid heel, bow on front and squidgy inside (not for wedding though but I might wear them as they are so comfy!) from there and they do loads of different ones x
