Register signing Church Music...advice please

Sooo I am having a church wedding…I know what hymns I want and what I want to walk in and out of the church to..

MY best friends partner is an amazing singer and has offered to sing for me while the register is being signed – I just need to think of something for her to sing…as it’s a church should this be a hymn? Or another piece of music…..advice gratefully received…

    I think it could be anything, so long as it's okay with the church authorities and your priest!

    I have a violinist called Simon Jordan playing during my register signing and he's going to start with Pachelbel canon and then move it on to Better Together by Jack Johnson.

    Ave Maria is beautiful, I was going to walk down the aisle to it but we're now not getting married in a church. That is of course if you want traditional. ?

    My friend got marrier last year and had a singer in the church who sang sunshine by Gabrielle - quite upbeat as by then the important bits are done! It was really lovely!

    Tell me about it... and the violinist guy said I could pick anything, which meant I was thinking for about, say, 18 years!

    We didn't have a singer but we had a pianist...

    ...He played River Flows in Your by Yiruma and Comptine d'un autre ete by Yann Tiersen.

    They still make me cry now!

    He suggested things like Take That's Greatest Day; he also had a long list of love songs. I think The Wedding Channel did an article recently with a list of good songs if you want to google that m'luv.

    Ideally pick more rather than less, a friend didn't have quite enough with 3 full length operatic arias!
