Register the marriage

Hi we had to book the registrar in the borough the venue is in and then from a year before your wedding you have to give notice of marriage in the borough you live in i hope that makes sense, have you told them the venue you are getting married in?

Can confirm that that’s correct, it’s so confusing! Your registrar will be from the office that covers the borough/area your venue is in, but you register your intent to marry at the office that covers the borough/area that you live in.

They don't make it easy for you do they, bless you 🙈
I'm getting married in the same council area as the venue (I think 😳) so hopefully straight forward lol x

View quoted message I would contact the registry office ASAP tbh. I’m getting married in Lincolnshire and they are taking up to 3 weeks to get back to people at the moment. Once we booked the registrar they sent details of when to book our appointment to register our intent to marry. We have a specific window to do this in and we cannot register intent more than 12 months before our wedding date, so we have to wait until May 2022 to do this. I’ve had to set a calendar reminder in my phone so I don’t forget 🙈
