Registrar for 2023

Hello, we are getting married in March 2023 and we have booked our registrar. Book your venue and book your registrar straight away! As you don’t want there to be none available when it comes to booking this is what our venue advised us.
We booked ours back in July, they just take a deposit I think it was £45 deposit and you pay the rest prior to the ceremony.
Then following that, you can then give notice for your wedding.Hope this helps x

We booked our wedding venue for September 2023 I tried to contact the registrar via email as soon as we paid the venue deposit but had no response! Our wedding planner said they’re likely to get back in touch with built up emails in November time when all the weddings have calmed down! So our planner doesn’t seem too concerned yet! Hope that helps!

I think it depends on your area. If we were to get married in the district that we live then we couldn’t book more than 12 months in advance. But we’re getting married in Cheshire and you can book 3 years in advance there! Think they’re all just different for some reason.

I agree with Sarah that it depends on the area you are getting married.
We’re getting married in Shropshire in June 2023, we could book our registrar up-to 2 years in advanced. I confirmed our registrar in August 2021 😊
We then have to give notice 12 months before too like the website you checked said. I would contact the registry office for where you are getting married and see if you can book your registrar now or if you have to wait.

Ours in S.Glos is 12 months before, so that would mean 0ct '22 I could book... but they told me their books open for 2023 in January so I'm going to see if I can book them then and give notice in October xx
