Registry Office Checklist help!!

sarahl79, 27 July, 2010 at 16:46 Posted on Planning 0 4

I know the regitsrar gave us a checklist when we saw her but I can't find it!! Need to go back and pay for ceremony and go over checklist tomorrow but I can't find it and can't get through on the phone...

I remember that it asked about readings and music - can anyone tell me what else is on it?!

Thanks in advance

    Hi,

Do you mean the form you had to fill in? I think it asked for FOTB & FOTG name and occupation, I can't think what else, I'll check when I get home if no-one else has replied by then x

I don't know if yours is the same as mine but mine asks for...

Maid of honour and best man names

Music for walking in, during the signing of the register and exit and also any reading you may be having (you need to print readings off so they can check there are no religious aspects in there)

Who if anybody is walking you down the aisle

attendants flower girls, pageboys, bridesmaids etc

will you be exchanging rings? how many?

Who do you want to announce your exit - registrar/family member/toast master???

That's all I can think of right now hope this helps anyway!

    Hi Sarah,

    I've just had chance to dig out our registrary office form, it asks for the following;

    Your full names
    Place of Wedding
    Date of Wedding
    Time
By which name would like us to address you (informally) on your wedding day
Please indicate whether the bride is arriving from home or is staying at the hotel/venue
Which room are you using for the wedding
Approximately how many guest will be attending
Will the bride be escorted into the room (Yes/No - if so by whom eg Father/Mother) and attendants adult BM's, BM's, flower girls, page boys
What is the brides fathers full name and occupation. Is he/was he retired? Is he deceased?
What is the grooms fathers full name and occupation. Is he/was he retired? Is he deceased?
    Will you be exchanging rings?
Usually the witnesses hold the rings or you may wish ti suggest an alternative (ie best man, page boy, cushion etc)
Have you already chosen your witnesses (Adults voer the age of 16) Grooms witness, Brides Witness
Please list the title of the reading you wish to include together with the names of the guests who are reading them. Must enclose a copy of each reading
    Background Music (approx 12 mins)
Entrance of Bride (approx 2 mins)
Background music during signing of the register and taking of photographs (approx 10 mins)
Exit music for bride and groom (approx 2-3 mins)
Pleased indicate whether you are having live or recorded music
    Official Photographer (Yes/No)
    Official Videographer (Yes/No)
Once your ceremony has finished - how will you be leaving - both together to a piece of music or staying in the room with your guests

    Hope this helps x
