Rise petals

Natalee, 31 March, 2022 at 12:51 Posted on Planning 0 3
Hi, can anyone tell me if £54 for a basket of rose petals is expensive. We can only use real rose petals as confetti and this is the only quote I have had so far which is from the venue itself?

It seems like this is the going rate, which is insane! have a look on Etsy as there are lots on their that do them in the bags and you can personalise, so you could get one per guest and have on their chair. Our venue is super strict about the type, colour and size so we are not having any, which is a shame but when I looked in to it it was going to be over £100 which was crazy.

Confetti is SUPER expensive! I’ve been making my own since we got engaged. It’s straightforward but you do find some petals work much better than others. If you’re not getting married for another year you might have time to make your own too, although you’d probably end up spending more than £54 for all the roses you’d need…! Would only really recommend if you have time and get flowers at home regularly anyway.

We are currently taking petals from flowers (clearance at Tesco, gifts, family members and dying outside flowers) and drying them out to use! Also taking fallen leaves and drying them out and hole punching them into heart shapes
