Rose petals rather than confetti

Soon to be Mrs W, 12 January, 2010 at 20:24 Posted on Planning 0 9

Hi

I am getting married next year at a venue that doesnt allow confetti. They have said we can use rose petals but does anyone know what sort of rose petals are allowed / used at weddings? Ive been looking and you can get various ones including silk and dried etc.

If anyone can help that would be great.

    Hi

Again it depends on your venue... probably silk or synthetic normally as they are easier to sweep up.

Thanks, the bubbles sound a nice idea.

I would have thought only dried petals would be allowed. Silk petals would be almost as bad as confetti to clear up. Lots of lovely shades of flowers here: https://www.confettidirect.co.uk/

Dried or preserved petals are usually the most accepted. We get our from www.verdi-uk.co.uk - the dried ones are fairly limited but you can get preserved petals in most colours. One large box should do you 10-15 confetti cones.

I'd be worried that the petals would stain my dress, same goes for the bubbles! I may be over thinking this though!

Never thought of that. Has anybody else heard of bubbles staining?
