Same Bridesmaid Dress but in different Colours

villachick1972, 22 October, 2012 at 10:45 Posted on Planning 0 8

I am in the midst of my wedding planning and getting ideas together (even though we dont get marred until September 2015) but as i am having burgundy and silver as my wedding theme, i was thinking of having my 5 bridesmaid in the same dress but two the two colours, 3 in one and 2 in the other colour but really unsure. My BM's all think its a great idea and have seen it in one wedding where the bride had all pastel colours and her three bridemaids where in the same dress but three different colours.

What do other B2B's think? My OH said its totally up to me ?

When i saw the picture of the bride and her BM's in the three different colours it looked fantastic and gave me so many ideas. Dont think my mother will go for it (she is paying for the BM's dresses and accesssories) but its what i want at the end of the day.

I have been looking at dessy but didnt think of Romantica of Devon, thank you for that, shall get internet surfing during my lunchbreak to have a look ?

Slightly biased as i had mixed in the same dress but i think it works well (not the best photo for the colours but you get the idea)

Very effective and love the dresses. Im getting more and more convinced that i should go with three of one colour, possibly burgundy and then two in silver as they are my colours (third time of changing now and sticking to it)

thanks for sharing the picture with us

No problem, i couldn't decide which colour i liked best so had both, some bridesmaids suited one colour better than the other so it worked out for the best ?

Another option is the have the same dress in 5 shades of the same colour, OR, the same colour in 5 different styles. Its a great idea to cater for different BM colourings & shapes. Here are some pics for inspiration. (BHS do the same styles in different colours & are reasonably priced).
