How far in advance do you send save the dates to? Also do they go to daytime and evening guest.

I'm getting married in April 2023, I sent the Save the Dates in May this year and only to the people coming to the ceremony and wedding breakfast, those invited to the evening will be sent separate invites closer to the time

I'm getting married August 2023 and will be sending my save the dates out within the next few weeks just to the day time guests and family only as friends can change in that time unfortunately.
