At moment we have our draft guest list. We have some cousins down for potential night do only (much to my mother's horror) however there is possibility raised may change/if we have day drop outs I guess....do they get a save the date?


We are also still pondering kids at the wedding so on invites just addressing the adults for the save the dates.

    I think save the dates are usually for people who you are inviting to the whole event. That's how we're doing it anyway. We have a B list, so when RSVPs come back we have some people who can be 'upgraded' from evening only to whole day. Don't know if that helps!

    I would only send 'save the dates' to those you know are getting an invite to the whole day. You don't want people turning down an invite to something else that is happening in the morning or lunchtime, only to find out later that they aren't expected at your wedding until 7.30pm!

    You’re right, wedding planning is VERY complicated!


    To my knowledge, save the dates are only for day time guests. At least that’s how we’ve done it. Didn’t want any evening guests rocking up for the whole day 🤣🙈
    Once you have decided on kids/no kids I’d just make sure this is super clear on your invites when the time comes as I’ve heard plenty of horror stories when guests have unfortunately for the wrong end of the stick. If you do choose to invite children then obviously it won’t be an issue anyway ☺️🤍
