Save the date design thoughts

As mentioned in another discussion, I'm no where near savings a date, venue or anything but I've been adamant that there is some element of Disney.. subtle disney. The hubby to be isn't a massive Disney fan which is fan but had the absolute pleasure of making sure either knew that Star Wars is now Disney.. which he loves. So now my theme has kind of changed from Disney to Disney "forced" with Star Wars. Sounds random but its actually turned quite funny. E.g. cake topper is me with Mickey ears and he's wearing a storm trooper helmet. So it's just thrown in there if that makes sense. Our date ideally will be May 4th (May the fourth be with you).

Anyway... I was massively bored today and I had this hilarious save the date idea. Now it's very rough. Not the final draft. It was done on paint and I was using the mouse pad as I couldn't find my mouse. That aside, honest thoughts.. do you think it's hilarious like I do.. or a bit over the top? It is good, funny, but in honesty it doesn't scream wedding to me, but if you like it and think your guests will get it then do it. Depends on how strong it will be as your theme, if it is subtle touches maybe tone it down and see if you can create plain backdrop with a Disney figure and star wars figure on with the dates etc. Look on Etsy, lots of designs for both genres and you could get ideas or if you want to order speak to the seller to see if they can create something bespoke

If im honest, I think its more for my own amusement. 😂 a fair few of the close friends would get it. I think, looking at it now. It's a bit colourful so I'd like it to be a bit less in your face.

Definitely not what I would send out as is.. it was a creation from pure boredom haha.

Instead of having two separate pics of deathstar and Castle, I would merge the pics into one so as the deathstar curves over the top it turns into the shooting star trail and then a less colourful version of the castle being seen ontop of/through the deathstar! If it were me I would give a final piece I was happy with to those who would understand and do a more general one for everyone else x
