Save the date magnets - posting

robertson2b, 9 August, 2010 at 20:37 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hi - this may seem like a stupid question but I'm really unsure!! I need to send out some save the date magnets in the post. Now the magnets I have really are small (86mm x 49mm - ordered from Vista print)

I am about to order some envelopes which are roughly the same size. Does anyone know if these will be too small to post?????

Any help would be welcomed Smiley smile

Thanks

    Hi

I didnt realise there was a minimal size but this is what its say on royal mail website

We recommend that they are at least:

    • 38mm from the top of the envelope
    • 18mm from the bottom of the envelope
    • 15mm from the left and right hand edges of the envelope

    HTH

Thanks - I have looked all over the Royal Mail site and couldn't find that. Could you send me the link please? I don't understand what it means when it says 38mm from the top and 18mm from the bottom???

I didnt even think about it - now I'm really not sure what to do as I think it might be a bit strange placed inside a random card....hmmmmm....

You could just use a piece of card, and use a removeable glue dot to stick the magnet to the centre of the card, so that the guest can just take the magnet off the piece of card.

Hi - my bro and fiance sent save the date magnets and they were in really small envelopes. They were cute but my only concern was my Aunt nearly chucked it out with rubbish as it had gotten itself hidden in some junk mail. Might be easier sending in regular sized envelopesSmiley smile
