Need some advice! I am going to be sending out save the dates to my day guests only. But what happens when a friend is invited to the day and they have an evening plus one? Does the save the date get addressed to them both? I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere! I don’t want the partner to assume he is invited to the whole day, but also don’t want to appear rude and then think they aren’t invited at all... ?

Can you not talk to your friend and let them know that their guest is invited to the evening only? I would only address the save the date to your friend. If it’s addressed to them both it would imply they are both invited to the day.
